Yeesh. Those "plans" are a little mind-boggling. Very amazing.

I'd like to think that as a 3D puzzle solver, I have some kind of talent with spacial organization and three dimensional thinking, but people who can come up with things like this show how intermediate that talent actually is.

I've been puzzling (har-har) over this question since the first time I saw it.

If you click the link to the right of the image, you get some hints, although it is far from complete. This is it:

I stared at it for about a half-hour before I figured out the non-pyraminx corners. There are two triangles on each face of the pyraminx core that have no attachments. The similar third of each of the four faces is the where the four non-pyraminx corner attachments go.

The more I look at it, the more I like it. I desperately need to find a decent plastic seller where I can buy thick sheets like they show on that site... cause I sure as heck don't want to (or can't!) mold all 14 pieces.

If I'm looking at it right, doesn't each of the larger trianglar corners also rotate about their axii since each one is attached to each of the Pyraminx's four trivial corners? If so, then the Offset Skewb also has four trivial (large) corners just like the Pyraminx. (The picture shows mid-rotation of the non-trivial rotations only.)
