I've been using OLL and PLL for about a month now and they are great. they reduced my average by about 4 seconds and are fun to use. but not all of then are fast for me. the G and N positions are the worst they take me 5 to 7 seconds to do. especialy the left handed reverse G. are there any other algs for them? I use the ones on dans site and they are ok. most of the PLLs take me 1.5 to 3 seconds so they are ok for now. tips?

tips i can give you is practice. i too struggle with the left handed G perms. try learning 2 or 3 ways of doing the same alg. i have about half of my PLL's known in 2 ways. also learn them forwards and backwards and mirror. so a J perm facing you and a J perm facing away from you. same alg but in a different direction.

I use these algs for N perms:
z (R U R') D R2 U' (R U D' R') D R2 U' (R D')
z R' U' (R D') (R2' U R') (U' D) (R D') (R2' U R')

They are really fast, but take some time to get used to.
Katsu is really fast at PLL, he has some really nice G perms (and other algs, too):

I can do each OLL in at least 2 ways each some 4. but thats not that hard. I can't do any PLLs like that yet.

The thing I don't like about Katso's site is that it's half english and half wingdings. I can't read half the stuff even on the english verson.

I can't do the G's and the N's very fast yet myself, but my advice would be to experiment with different positions and fingering before going to another algorithm.
One of my worst orientations, LU2L2UL2UL2U2L', became very smooth and fast with different fingering.

the algs on bondes site are they same but at a different angle. yes that alg is very fast for me, I use the finger tricks from Joels page for that. I that is the only OLL I can't do 2 ways. it's either left or right handed. not like sune where you can do it when its facing the wrong way.

I did my first solve while riding a unicycle today. it took m like 40-50 seconds because I need to stop solving to use my arms to regain ballance. I will time myself later today.
