Whoa! Now THAT'S cool! It must be a real pain to solve. So, do the... uh... centres? edges? connector thingies? leading to the outermost corners rotate, or are they basically fused in place? How about the connector between the outermost corners? Nicely done!

That's a really neat idea. It took me a while to completely understand what you did there.
Very nice job!

Thanks for the comps!
The extensions are just glued on, so nothing rotates except the main cube.
I haven't scrambled it yet, as I'm somewhat afraid to. The bandaging is bad enough, but to also be somewhat randomly blocked by the extensions colliding... I expect that it'll be very frustrating to solve.

Clever. Very clever.
I would also assume it is very difficult to solve, but it's always worth a try is it not? And if all else fails....
Disassemble and Reassemble. Be a cheater, even if it's only with this difficult mod.

I wouldn't consider it cheating, if you don't claim to have solved it then dis/reassembling it doesn't stand as cheating.
Very well done Ben, looks really, I really like the rounded stickers.

Did you consider making one of the bridges taller, so the other one could slide under it? That would let the corners get more scrambled.

I didn't think of that... However, I prefer it as-is, since there's a sort-of "random bandage" happening when the bridges collide, thus messing up algs. that would otherwise work. From the little I've played with it, I think the corners can be scrambled pretty thoroughly, though I wouldn't swear to it.

Just take your 3x3 cube and only do U, U', U2 and R2 moves. That's what you can do with the corners.
