I have designed a 24-cube that can be made out of 5 Masterballs. Only the inner mechanism is needed. I will post a tutorial on how to make your own, as I think that producing these on my own would be copying the mechanism.

Pictures coming soon! :D

You have made one of these?

I have built the mechanism, and I am currently building extensions to make it a cube.

If you have the mechanism, and you start a thread about it, why not show it? It sounds like a fun, clever idea. I've wanted to see how a clicking 24 cube might feel.

lol okay now i'm getting a bit frustrated with the lack of images accompanied with these threads.

I might start some threads "i've just created a 3x3x3 mechanism that also produces hot chocolate out of the D face once solved....pictures to follow once I get the burns in my lap seen to"

It is getting on my nerves big time. All these names and I just really want to see some actual hardware along with things.

I agree with everyone else about the pictures request. Every time, its either a 3-D model pic or no pic at all. Even a picture of a puzzle in the modding stage is acceptable. I just need some proof that your puzzles actually exist!

The outer pieces are 1/6 done, and the inner pieces are rather ugly right now. In my E-Skewb, you can see how I want my puzzles to look nice, so I post pictures after that is done. I can post some pictures of the mechanism tomorrow.

As well as the Helicopt-Oh cube core and centers! :D

It is a bit annoying that you create a topic just to say that you have done something without showing a picture or something, you could create just one topic and name it: things I have designed or similar and when you have a phisical thing create a post on the new puzzles subforum, because I get excited to see a new 24 puzzle and there are just words.

Oh no! The reason he hasn't posted any pictures is because all his puzzles were made out of cheese, and someone ate them!

I may not be posting pictures of this as soon as I thought that I could, as many of the pieces broke during assembly.
I am going to have to find a way to fix the snap-in pieces on the thin white arc segments. Any suggestions?

If we don't know how the pieces go together, I don't think many will be able to help. Could you show us pictures of the broken parts?

as with everyone I agree. We had this issue in the past, (myself being one of the people guilty of doing it.) and the mods set us straight.

Yes in deed you have amazing potential and you have made a lot of people excited and you have a lot of hype going on right now, but that's all we really have so far. Hype.
Please, show us your inventions, your designs, but not like this.

I'm not old enough or senior enough in this puzzle community to really say or do anything but I think the time has come to maybe request that a moderator actually step in.

This particular poster burst on the scene out of nowhere and has started dozens of threads now making fantastic claims of puzzles he has made (getting lots of us hot under the collar drooling about what may be coming) but in EVERY SINGLE ONE, there have been CAD drawings only (which may or may not be functional) and never ever a picture of a puzzle or partially made puzzle or even part of a puzzle! The only picture He's posted so far is an 11x11 mod which just looks like an ordinary cube to me. There's not even a Shapeways page to view!

So could one of the mods contact this person and establish the truth of his claims? So maybe then we can either believe him and get excited or just ignore him for the hoaxer he appears now to actually be.

Sorry for the rant but it has gone on so long now that it seems to be making a mockery of this forum which I love too much to see without complaint!

I am not trying to hurt the forum, but I was so excited that this forum exists, that I got ahead of myself. I usually work on more than 10 puzzles at a time, due to my ADHD, and I overestimated my puzzle-building speed.

This puzzle has gone wrong more than I thought, and this has taught me that I should not promise great things, but wait to post until they happen. I will not post anything without pictures of the puzzles.

P.S. I don't think that my weird 11x11x11 looks like an ordinary cube. :?:

Thanks. Personally, I would recommend to hold off making these threads until you have real pictures of the puzzles you've made. I think we would all appreciate it. :)

Yes, I totally agree.
And for CAD designs, I personally would recommend you have a prototype or have the puzzle on Shapeways awaiting a sponsor who is willing to try the first.
This has come up before, and some folks have become some of our best members here!
Thanks.
