Another huge improvement:

5X: 4 Enhanced Edge Flips (version 2) (36 btm).

12 turns shorter. I solved the pattern first in 5 steps, and then inversed it to get the setup version.

Solving was like so:

1, R2WFR2WF2UWF2R2WF-R2U-
2. NR-WUNRUNR-WU-NRU-
3. WF-NUWFUWF-NU-WFU-
4. UWF-NU-WFUWF-NUWFU2
5. U2VL-NUVLU2VL-NU-VL

Per :solved:

A few moves gained by optimizing centers: :)

Centers
F' NR2 D L' (NU NB NU' NL' NB' NL) L D' NR2 F
TU NR' TU' NF2 TU NR TU' NF2
Edges
MR2 TF2 MR TF2 TU TF2 MR' TF2 MR2 TU'
Insertion

5x: 4 U-Flips (28 btm) (-5 moves)

The following is unfinished work, just to get an idea of what more weird flips would look like:
F' NR2 D L' NU NB NU' NL' NB' TL D' NR2 F TU MR2 TF2 MR TF2 NR' TU' NF2 TU NR TU' F2 MR' TF2 MR2
F' NL2 U R' ND NB ND' NR' NB' TR U' NL2 F TD MR2 TF2 MR' TF2 NL' TD' NF2 TD NL TD' F2 MR TF2 MR2
F NL2 L NB' NL NF NU NF' NL' NU' NB L' NL2 F'
F2 L R MU2 MF' NR MF MU2 MF NR' MF' R' L' F2
5x: 8 U-Flips (83 btm) (unfinished)
A much shorter algorithm could certainly be found and a 12 U-flips version may also be designed.

Yet another flippy variation:

7X: SuperFlipRings (54 btm).

The start could certainly be improved, but includes some novel edge flipping on odd size larger cubes

For instance this one:
7X: U 4-Flip (14 btm).

A simple variation to this one on the 7X:

Great job as always Glazik:

Here is a nice pattern with terrible setup

6X: Outlined Large Waterfall (55 btm).

EDIT:

By solving in steps and inverting i achieved the slightly better setup:

6X: Outlined Large Waterfall (46 btm).

Per :solved:

Hi Per,

Here is a major improvement, mainly based on insertion of short sequences of 4 small inner/outer lines: :D

A- 2 Slices

T3D2 NB NF' T3D2 NB2 T3R2 NF2 T3R2 NF2

Small inner and outer lines can be combined into striped dots:

Hi Glazik!

I will look into these line patterns. One quick improvement:

6x: 3 Small Lines (f,u,r) (-5) (9 btm).

Per :solved: Merry Christmas everyone

Merry Christmas
Here a nice and easy Christmas Pattern for the Wheel of Wisdom.
Just do a normal Checkerboard Pattern, then twist all faces by 45° and do Another Checkerboard Pattern.

Happy Christmas to all!

This pattern looks like a Christmas tinsel wrapped around a 5x cube:
CU2 U2 WR2 B' R' D F R' U WF2 R' F' D L F' U'
NU' L' NU ND' TB' L' D2 B2 NL' (NU MF' NU ND2 MF ND2 MR NU MR' NU) NL B2 D2 L TB ND NU' L NU

Cheers.

I guess this improvement would be the final fully optimised version:

6X: Outlined Large Waterfall (-3) (29 btm).

This one is just the same as the belt version you did in 35 turns only  Just a cube rotation away

Oops, I missed the similarities between the 2 patterns. :o

This is a new one:
TU NL B MR2 B' NL' NU' NL' B MR2 B' NL U'
U WF' L2 U2 WF U WF U L2 U' WF'
TU NL B MR2 B' NL' NU' NL' B MR2 B' NL WF' L2 U2 WF U WF U L2 U' WF'
5x: Diamond 2-Flips (Variation 3) (22 btm)
I think there are 4 cases of 'Diamond 2-Flips' only, up to cube symmetry. So, this should be the last one.

These are improved sequences:
R2 D2
N3F2 ND2 N3L2 N3F2 N3L2 ND2
N3B VD2 N3B' N3F' V3D2 NB NF' N3U2 VF NB'
D2 R2

6x: Outlined Large Waterfall (-1) (28 btm)

T3L2 T3F2 S3R2 T3F2 T3R2

One pattern has been improved:

7X: 4 Candles, Advent Wreath (Version 2) (-4) (34 btm).

Insertion could surely improve this further

Just to report an error:

It seems that the published '5x: 8 Midge Flips' sequence is in error, because there are 4 midges at the wrong place:
8 Midge Flips (14 btm)
R2 MF R2 MF2 SR' SF SR MF2 R2 MF' R2 SR' SF' SR

Here is a correct but still unoptimized 8-flip sequence:
L R MU2 R' L' D R L MU R2 MU2 SR SU SR' MU2 R2 MU L' R' U'
5x: 8 Midge Flips (20 btm)
