A scientific calculator would probably be the size of a house.

Niiiiice!!! That is some interesting pinball calculator!!!
(And I used to make my own pinballs at primary school... I also plan to attempt something interesting with those)

And thankfully in our case, the puzzle object is decreased in size compared to the electronic one!

I guess I can see it as I'm logged into Shapeways. Anyways I've saved the image and uploaded it here. It shouldn't be too hard to tell what it is. I'm still working on the other parts so it may be a while before I have a finished puzzle to show.

On a side note I was just informed by Shapeways that they are now on my 3rd (or is it 4th) re-print of the Multi-Gear Cube Kit. They apparently keep losing pieces and keep re-printing the whole thing. I've asked that the please not though away pieces and that to please include them when ever they do make the shipment and they said they would. At the rate they seem to be going I may end up with enough parts to make several from an order of just one.

Oh my gosh, I can't wait to post about this puzzle. Two different types, 353 pieces each. At 60 stickers per face--some of them very, very small--this is going to be a nightmare of a stickering job.

The geometry looks octahedral but the pieces look like the outer shape is a cube. I also think I see a few chiral pieces in there. I'm going with something Rex-Skewb-Like. Perhaps a corner-turning cube with several turnable layers per axis.

That core is dodecahedral. Not octahedral.

I'll bet it's a skewb that's "unbandaged" on all 4 axes, so the new cuts are stored cuts.

EDIT: I'm changing my guess. It's probably a Master Curvy Copter plus.

I think I know too, but maybe I don't because of the message. Maybe it's deceiving.
Are we allowed to guess here?

Vertex turning icosahedral shape transformation of a master starminx?...

EDIT- Oops, not starminx. It does seem like a master dogic as rubikcollector says.

It looks like the outer square pieces on top of the centers can turn independently. My guess is that it's some sort of variation to a cross cube.

Time will tell, or PM me with a guess.

This core is similar to the one in another post of mine, only that other post shows a whole puzzle.

(looking back now, I have to have been pretty crazy to use the core on the other puzzle... that core deserves a picture once this is done.   it will be shocking to see what the other used.)

Yes, they are twisty puzzles. Each one in the series has a different axis system, but they are all based around a particular type of polyhedron.
