I have seen many different types of crazy 3x3's and I was wondering which one to buy. Should I buy the standard Witeden one with only two unbandaged circular sides or should I get a cube like the earth, venus, mars etc. types of crazy cubes?

It really depends. If you are interested in getting a true circle cube (where the circles never move) then you can get 2 crazy 3x3 plus cubes and make one by switching around the centers.
The super 3x3 is actually a pretty fun puzzle (and VERY unique) but I find that it doesn't turn too well, and the only reason I got one was to make a proportional 3x3x5 cuboid.
I don't have too much experience with the crazy 3x3 plus cubes on their own but I personally don't like those type of puzzles.
What is your purpose for getting one?

A circle cube is very easy to solve, you might be disappointed. The witeden 3x3 was a bit tricky but very fun trying to find a solution, and then I turned it into a 3x3x5 as well. I personally enjoy the 3x3 planet's, and like was said about making a circle cube is the same with the rest, if you get the right 2 you can mix and match

I wanted to make a proportional 3x3x5 , but while looking up crazy 3x3's I thought it might be fun to have one just to solve and another to make into a 3x3x5.

You may have seen this thread.
If you want a nice solving challenge you can choose between
- easy = Mercury or Jupiter
- hard = Saturn (in my opinion); maybe Earth and Mars are not far away

A reduction method is nice. You can apply one to any planet.
(The early method was "Circle Corners Last".)
It seems that we have two non-overlapping sets of twisty puzzlers regarding the Crazy planets
- either they love some
- or they hate them

If you get Mercury + Jupiter you can make all planets AND a standard circle cube (which is no other challenge than a pretty hard turning 3x3x3 Super Cube).

BTW, the Witeden 3x3x3 with two circles is not called a Crazy Cube but Super 3x3x3. At least here
