Helpful, more advanced than I puzzlers! I need some help. I recently re-dedicated myself to solving my square-1 based puzzles. I kind of became obsessed with 3x3 speed for a while and lost track of how to solve my square-1 etc.

After about 2 weeks I've gotten much better than I ever was at solving my square-1. I can also solve my sq-2 and Time Machine puzzles however there's an algorithm for those two that I would love it if existed.

Is there a square-2 algorithm(s) that will swap an edge piece with the piece directly to the left or right of it while leaving the rest of the puzzle mostly unaffected. So for example, on a solved sq-2; swap the UF edge with the UF half of either the UFR or UFL corner piece. Again, leaving a majority of the rest of the puzzle unaffected would be ideal, I'd especially like to keep the bottom layer unaffected by this algorithm.

Sorry if this is a bit confusing and many thanks in advance for any and all help.
