That was by far the most difficult 2x2x2 I have ever solved. What a mind bender!

Next on the list for me:

- Curvy Copter
- Helicopter Dodecahedron
- WitEden 3x3x9 I
- Professor Pyraminx

I just thought I'd share my happiness with the board. It always feels GREAT to solve a new puzzle for the first time. :)

Well done!! It looks like a very difficult cube alright (looked up a vid there as I didn't know what it was).

It sure is a tough little puzzle... it took me a long time just to figure out it was a 2x2x2! It was very satisfying to finally figure out how to solve it. In the Solving Puzzles forum there is a thread for this puzzle, which is sold under a lot of different names. It would be interesting to see your strategy.

A similar experience is given by the Tooth Wolf (I edited the message: i mistakenly wrote: Aardwolf), that looks like a cube fused with an octahedron, with each edge of one solid bisecting an edge of the other solid.

It is "just" a skewb, with small pyramids in place of the square centers, so that it has both properties of the standard skewbs and of its octahedral shape mod.

But at first it is a bit confusing… but at the end, like all skewbs, it takes only simple iterated commutators to solve.

Roberto, can you provide a link to a Picture of this Aardwolf? I couldn't find it in the Museum and not via Google.
Or do you describe Meffert's Polymorphinx

Konrad, I was wrong to call it aardwolf, since I confused the name with the Mozhi Aardwolf. it is the Mozhi Wolf Tooth.

Picture attached.

You can also build it yourself using a skewb and a mozhi skewb diamond.

Hi Konrad. Aardwolf is what LanLan calls their version of the PyraStar. There are pictures in the solving thread. I was confused about the different names when I first got mine, but I *think* I sorted it all out in the first post of that thread.
