This is a mod to a slightly truncated mini 2x2x2 which I haven't got a name for. Any suggestions?

[edit]It's now called the Archo Cube for reasons explained in my post below.[\edit]

The extensions were designed in SketchUp, printed in WSF by Shapeways, dyed using Rit dye and the stickers were printed by Oliver. It was created as a side idea when I was doing my Math Cube.

It is 57mm on a side and weighs 42g.

nice mod! maybe something like "Dino Shift" I thought it resembles a dino cube at first but the cuts look shifted.

I have thought of a name for this cube. As one turn on this cube is exactly like a Dino Cube turn, this cube is sort of like an evolutionary pre-cursor to the full Dino Cube. So, as the evolutionary pre-cursors to the dinosaurs were the archosaurs, I will call this puzzle the Archo Cube.

Aargh!
Everytime I think all "axis system reoriented inside the cube"-puzzle are invented someone comes with something new.
Thank you for telling us about the 2x2x2 inside. Otherwise that would have been hard to guess.

I just googled archosaurs, and crocodiles are apparently, maybe that would be a good sticker mod for this :D

I just love these 'simple' puzzles. Good job.

I had an idea. You should turn the Dino-like turn 60 degrees, then it would be a midturn solved state puzzle!
