Two days ago I recieved a USA Masterball. I'm not entirely sure if this is considered a "rare" puzzle though.

By the way, I'm interested in knowing what exactly makes a puzzle "rare." Is it the amount produced? The size of the market? The popularity? The actual monetary value, or something else? I really need to know.

It took about 5 months, but I finally got my Hexaminx from Traiphum.

This definitely made my day.

Hi,

I'd like to show Hepta Family of my puzzles: Heptagon and Vladimir's Cheese by Oskar.

Number seven is not used so widely in puzzle world as 3, 4, 5, 6 or 8.
Hepta makes puzzles very unique from inner implementation and solving
point of view. Do you know other hepta puzzles?

See my video Hepta Family.

Enjoy!
Vladimir

Is it an original, or one from the recent production run?

Do you mean the Chinaminx? If so it's definitely an original (it had lots of dust in it and has the original color scheme).

Most probably he meant the reproduction that was made a few years ago from the original molds. But judging by the stickers this one is from the original run.

Some time ago (here) I mentioned that my Elemental series of puzzles was influenced by the Uriblock. As such I have wanted one in my collection for, well, years.

The Uriblock is one of a few two axis sliding block puzzles that contain no gaps. The Zauberkreuz, Rubik's XV, Tsukuda's Square and Mixbox are some others, and desired in my collection for the same reason.

I was lucky to find that Zzupler not only had some of what I was looking for but, better than that, had interest in trade. A surprise pair of Elementals should get to him soon in exchange for his help filling this gap in my collection:

He even threw in a bonus Combinescion!

Thanks Zzupler!

Lovely "surprise" in the post for me today! As Dave said I had requested that the puzzle design was to remain a surprise - and what a nice surprise! - as I was already familiar with the quality of his work through my custom Neon.
Apologies for the poor pictures, photography is not one of my strengths but even if it were pictures really do not do justice to the beauty of these puzzles.

The level of detail he squeezes into each puzzle is amazing. They come beautifully packaged with even the stickers designed in the shape and matching colour of the puzzle. The design is see-through (so you can see the smaller symbol from the back too which gives a really nice effect) but unfortunately I could not capture this with pictures.

After reading this I had to take a look into my own online collection and found that I hadn't entered my three elementals up to that point.
Thank you Zzupler.
Please forgive me Dave.

Here are a few pictures that demonstrate the transparent nature of these Elementals. I had been looking for a way to use some hatch marked mirror acrylic I had, but also wanted a pair of puzzles that would be different but have a common theme. Different fluorescent colors worked well:

I'm not sure, if Shapeways puzzles are so rare nowadays

Here are some pictures of another Eric Vergo puzzle, I assembled and stickered yesterday:

Image

I got the stickers from Olivér and got the template from Eric. Olivér used the 12 standard colours and I my usual dodecahedron colour scheme:

Image

Here it is with little brother (Micro Master Pentultimate from Gregoire):

Image

And here the whole little family:

Image

Some more relatives:

Image

I have experienced again, that I must have been extremely lucky with Tom's Multidodecahedron.
The Pillowed Master Pentultimate from Eric needed a lot of breaking in and still the Multi-D turns better without any lubrication (my only Shapeways puzzle that got never lubricated. )
I'm going to lubricate the Master P. and I'm sure it will turn very good afterwards, too.

Edit: My Pentultimates complained. They wanted to be on a family photo as well.
