Hello, I just wanted to say hello to everyone, and give you a little background on me.
I solved my first cube just 4 months ago and have since fallen head over heels with the entire cubing community.
My personal best on a 3x3 is 52 seconds, but I don't plan to push that much further. I love cuboids and shape shifting cuboids especially.

I have gravitated to the modding side of things, and I am just starting to get my head wrapped around some of the concepts seen in here. I started modding on the very basic side of things starting with a Siamese cube, and moved on to a barrel cube and a fisher cube (almost finished). My pride and joy so far has to be my valentines cube. For some strange reason, my wife does not share my affinity for cubing, although she tolerates it well and even humors me from time to time.

My goal was to somehow pull her a little closer into my venn diagram of cubing. The result you will see below, her valentines cube.

Love to see such romantic mod.

Did your wife appreciate it, or next year just a chocolate heart instead of a cube?

Haha, yes, she did appreciate it. She actually asked me to teach her to solve it.
But with it taking almost 50 hours, perhaps next year she will get a card.

Make her a chocolate cube. That can't fail.

Yes it is true I am new at this, having put roughly 80 hours into modding so far.

But more importantly, before any modding, I watched every video and read every thread on modding and modding techniques I could.
Then I made sure I had all the right tools and materials before I started.

For clean cuts, an x-acto knife with a metal ruler on styrene plastic works perfectly.
