Hi all

I've searched in the museum and the web. No luck yet. I'm looking to buy some 2x2x2 cubes with an edge length of between 35 and 45 mm (and not outside those limits). 38mm would be ideal. Anyone know of any?

I think the Rubik's brand 2x2 id your best bet.

Hmmm. Thanks. I saw it in nowstore but as it didn't have edge length I didn't pursue it. I wonder if it can be disassembled, since the latest promo on the rubiks.com site says "Due to the new smoother movement, the 2x2 cube cannot be taken apart and hence we cannot replace any cubes that are broken as a result of attempted dis-assembly".

I'd use the 45mm if i had to, but it's definitely at the top end of the range I want.

What are you planning on making?
You can't just leave us in suspense like that!

I have once bought a 2x2x2 at a local shop in my home town.
The cube has 39 mm edge length.
The shop is a "pound-shop" derivate, so to speak.

I have one Rubik's brand 2x2 that measures 38-39mm, I think it may be an old one as the lot I got it in was all old puzzles, I'm not sure if the newer ones are a different size.

Do you need a lot of them or would one be enough - I'd be happy to post it out to you for the price of postage if it suits.

Oh, wow. That sounds perfect. I need 4 of them though. I can understand why they're made with the longer edge length but it's frustrating to not be able to get something in between.

One of the great things about the 2x2x2 is that you can extend it quite easily. Take a slightly smaller cube and add to it with plastic sheet of the right size to get what you want.
