Step 1. Prepare this. (Mass produced version does better.)

Step 2. Take off all the stickers.

Step 3. Disassemble it and cut all the part of the center highlighted below.



Step 4. Somehow make 54 black 19mm*19mm*19mm cubes.(Using 3x3x3 or 3x3x4, 3x3x5 piece would be good way to do.)

Step 5. Attach the cubes on the inner circle pieces (containing center caps) one by one like this cube

Step 6. Assemble the puzzle.

Step 7. Done!



Only thing i am caring about is if this already exists or not

A quick search for "cross cube" using the search function on twistypuzzles reveals this post. Nevertheless a very clear description of how to do it and a great cube to make! Good luck!

Oh geez... my expactation was right

Apparently these cubies are standard 3x3 size. You would have to dye them. I'm not sure if these are the same size, but if they are, you would only have to sand the star things off.

I'm 99% sure the cubies in the first link are too small - I think I tried to use them before.
