I have been researching about making molds for pieces and other things.
I've got myself all hyped up ad I'm ready to do a mod with molds
until I realized... what am I going to make??
I need some ideas an making puzzles with molds.
I know all of the material and "stuff", but I just need something to make.
Are there any puzzles I could make with molds?

The possibilities are fairly endless.
For practice you might try making a replica of an existing puzzle piece.
Truncations are popular, you could get one piece just right then replicate it.
You might consider 3D printing some masters of a puzzle, a few builders used to make designs for sale (two examples are here and here).

3D Printing is not something you just do at home on a regular printer. It is a process for building complex plastic shapes using specialised equipment.

You design the pieces using 3D modelling software then submit the designs to Shapeways for printing.

I have heard of 3D printing using a regular printer, but it would be too impractical and not precise enough for twisty puzzle pieces.
Basically, you use paper of a known thickness and glue the next piece on top of the previous one. So for example to get a sphere, you would start with a dot, glue a small circle on it, glue a slightly larger circle on that. Keep doing this until you get to the diameter, then you put slightly smaller circles on top of those.

Shapeways is much easier!
