Hey everyone,

I really should be studying for my finals.... but this is more fun.

So here are 3 things I've been doing in the past few months.

1. The Good the Bad and the Ugly Master Magic.

Pretty self-explanatory. Took the pics from a movie poster, cropped them in PSD, and cut them out for the puzzle. Total time about 8 hours (I hate restringing magics)

2. Edge Turning Octahedral Globe Puzzle

Catchy name, right? It's cut from a mastermorphinx and capped off with plastic sheet. Pretty cool, but hard to tell the pieces of map apart. Here is the map pic

I made it for me APUSH teacher, he's the best teacher I have ever had for a non math-science class, which I usually despise. Shoutout to Mr. Klaw for being awesome!

3. 3D printer "Huxley1.1"

This is my reprap printer, built with attention to maximum quality. I'm still tuning it, I'm very far from done with the tuning.

I believe when finished it will have the quality to produce some NICE puzzles, and other things. Total time involved: all my free time...

This is the first print with it, it is a Koch snowflake fractal with .2mm layers. I hope to move soon to my smaller nozzle and print .07mm layers, which will take a long time to print but should give me some nice smooth layers.

This project keeps hitting snares, but I just keep going and I should be finished before this summer.... lol

4. Made another Master Mental Block

Frank Tiex contacted me with interest and we were able to work a deal out. I'm honored for it having been displayed at his table at DCD 2012 and thank him for his patience while I made the puzzle.

It's so nice to see a magic mod! It's been awhile around here from what I can remember. Looks nice!

Also, your 3d printer-- wow, nice results. I know a few people with repraps and they've had less success. Please make a puzzle with it. You might be the first to do so.

Wait, you need a smaller nozzle to print thicker layers? Should the first number be 2mm not 0.2mm?

Sorry, meant .07mm layers is what I meant. The general rule of thumb is the highest resolution your nozzle can do is 1/4 of the nozzle diameter.

.28 mm diameter nozzle / 4 = .07mm layer height. This is my goal.
