A while back, I tried to explain a puzzle I created:
http://twistypuzzles.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=24029
I still can't solve it. However, I did figure out that Tony Fisher's two- sided holey megaminx is technically the same puzzle, just void. Does anyone know how to solve that?

AW

Oh, and I still don't know how to post pictures.

I'm still not sure which puzzle you are talking about.

But years ago I tried scramble a megaminx by twisting two adjacent faces and solve it using only those two faces. I could solve it. I solve the edges first, intuitively. Then for corners I basically repeat sune or apply combinations of it and its mirror. Clean 3-cycles of corners and rotation can be constructed in this way.

It seems that your puzzle is like the 2 sided void megaminx that tony did a while back, right?

kami_sama: Yes, that's the one I was trying to describe.

schuma: Thanks; I didn't realize I could use a sune algorithm. I'll try that.

Quote to get white background for spoiler (what colour is the other post background?) If you play around with F2L slots using adjacent faces you can find the corner 3-cycle which would come in very useful for what you're trying to do, and you can combine sunes easily to twist corners. There's various ways to approach the problem I can think of, such as the one described above by schuma.

Believe it or not, that's exactly what I tried yesterday. :solved:

Thanks everyone!
