Not sure this is the right section for this question, but I am looking for suggestions to expand my collection with a desire to focus on puzzles I can enjoy playing with in spite of my current vision problems.

Among my existing collection, some of my favorites to play with since my retina detached have been my Fisher Golden Cubes, monotone Fisher Cubes, and to a lesser extend, the Fisher and Morph eggs. I also like playing with my Pyramorphix, but it becomes almost trivial when solving for shape alone. The Monotone Fisher Cubes are probably my favorite, as their shapeshifting is complicated enough to make them interesting to play with, while still being simple enough to not be overwhelming when trying to solve.

I am willing to take suggestions for tactile stickering of doctrinaire puzzles, but what I would really like are some recommendation for other shapeshifting puzzles that provide an interesting, but not overly complicated or tedious solving experience when solving for shape alone.

I am interested in both mass-produce and shapeways puzzles, though my budget is limited, so try to keep recommendations of the latter to the low end. As it stands, the Rainbow Nautilus is currently at the top of my to-buy list as it is my understanding that every peice of that puzzle has a unique shape.

I'm sorry to hear about your eyesight problems. I've been watching your other thread but have felt like I could add anything so I haven't said anything there.

What about the bump cube? It's a lot of fun and solvable by feel.

Not pushing sales, but the jade chopsticks has those raised bits. There is a "blind cube" from china recently released. The end puzzles are the same, as is the massage ball for the blind (both of which can be bought here). Khalil also made a brail ball.

Not twisty, but some of the Hanayama Cast puzzles could be interesting.

The mirror/bump cube is quite fun with your eyes closed. I've done it a few times.

Maybe try find different textured vinyl that you can clearly feel the difference between all the different vinyls, you would be able to expand your collection to a wider variety of puzzles

Probably should have added the bump cube to my collection a long time ago, so I am thinking of throwing one in with my next Amazon order. Are there any KO bump cubes sold via Amazon I should be aware of? Any other fun, non-doctrinaire 3*3*3 shapemods you would recommend. The Fisher Cube is probably my favorite to solve for shape, but I have also tried solving the Hex Prism, Axis Cube, Morph Eggs, and maybe a few others for shape. Now that I think of it, getting the WitEden 3*3*9 back into its proper "shape" is probably a fun little challenge as well.

About how hard is the Half-Truncated Cube when solving for shape-only?

should be fairly easy to solve, you just need to watch out for the orientation of edges to get it correct, wouldnt really be harder than a normal 3x3

Sadly it seems the only non-KO bump cubes on Amazon are hard to find, and then out of stock.
Perhaps Hidetoshi can help us find a legitimate source? I couldn't find any US source with a bit of searching, which makes me sad.

puzl.co.uk seem to stock the rubik's mirror blocks, I think this is legitimate?

I'm sure it is. I was hoping for an option that would be in the US so the shipping wouldn't be so terrible.

I'll have to drag out one of my puzzle boxes and see if I have an extra bump cube somewhere. Given that I work in the same city as Jeffery I would hope he doesn't have to go across the world to resolve this.
