This is the last of eight Bubbloids 122's made by the designer himself and tumbled by Brandon Emright (bmenrigh). Carl Hoff (wwwmwww) posted about it here. You can find it in the museum hereAs you can see, I asked Carl to sign it for me. I could not resist and made a lot more photos of this beauty. Here are thumbnails of a few of them and you can click onto them to enlarge the picture. The turning is incredibly smooth!!! I did not get it so much because it is "a good casual fun" (as Brandon expressed it.) The real two reasons for me to get it: - It is such a beautiful piece of art. - It is the first of four puzzles I decided to get as a personal side project to the PAW project. I'll write about this more when I will have gotten the remaining three.

I have to say that this puzzle is one of the most beautiful pieces of TP design. And when it is tumbled like this ...

My jaw literally dropped when I learned about the Double Triangle having been mass-produced - I just thought that it was some clever modder with a flair for presentation. Great finds!!

Aah you got it!
Nice:) I saw it and also placed some bids, but unfortunately I had no time when the auction ended. But for a really respectable price!!

Now I know who's got the Double Triangle puzzle! My bid was almost $300, but when I tried to place it is was already too high.
The picture in the auction had an unbroken container. Was your a second chance offer? I've got the other Wisdom Plate puzzle that way.

Cool to have a picture at last! This is how David Singmaster lists it in his file: "Trajber's Octahedron This is described in Cubic Circular 1. 67mm edge in PC labelled Double Triangle Puzzle, sample from Otto International, Taiwan."

This came today, 1 day before I move! I'm so glad it showed up when it did, I shudder thinking about what could have happened if I had to depend on the USPS to get this to me after the address change.

Yesterday both Minxes arrived made by Traiphum! As every Cube he did mod, the turning is very smooth. Both Puzzles are built with an amazing amount of craftsmanship, so the resulting Puzzles are truly worth considering as masterpieces. I did not scramble them up so far, but as they both are shape-mods of a Megaminx, I probably will in the soon future.

Two days ago Traiphum's Hexaminx has arrived: Congratulations to Traiphum for his outstanding craftmanship. And congratulations to myself for this excellent purchase. I like everything about this puzzle, the weight, the incredibly smooth surfaces, the shining black ... I really hope that Traiphum will talk a bit more how he has made these "mass-produced hand-made" Hexaminxes. EDIT: Scrambled and solved EDIT2: My congratulations go to Tony Fisher as well, who was the first to make this metamorphosis from Mega to Hexa (minx). I was not so much interested in shape modifications recently, but I have to say that some of my nicest custom made puzzles are hand-made shape mods. And the Traiphum's Hexaminx is probably the best among them. Nice means here how they feel in my hands and what a beautiful piece of artwork they are. Hopefully, the era of handmade puzzles lasts longer than some expect!

My betcha can't came today, bought from Amazon.com! I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw it for sale on Amazon. The others are two spectras and a whirligig that I received last week. Attachment:

The Betcha looks very good. Can you search the package and the leaflet if you find the inventors name anywhere?

Today I finished a little project. A few weeks ago a parcel from Shapeways arrived with these three puzzles OK, they were white DIY kits at this time. The most frightening was the smallest one. The M1-5 screws arrived and looked really tiny (you need twelve, so I have got 88 spares, if you you are looking for some). Here is the piece list of the Micro Master Pentultimate. Unbelievable, how many parts the small guy has! Two pieces of Tom's Unbandaged Helicopter Skewb were missing. With help from Tom and the great customer service of Shapeways a UPS truck delivered two weeks later an envelope with the two missing pieces. I dyed the WSF material black - and have now settled an agreement with my wife that this will never happen in our kitchen again I totally agree with Tony, who said once in a thread about BSF that the mess is not worth the few saved bucks. I'll stick with BSF until a better material shows up. The black is really deep, though, and I'm pleased with all five puzzles I have dyed myself. The Micro is just a little bit larger than a keyring 2x2x2. You see at this scale, how rough the nylon surface really is. Luke's Curvy Copter was the first I could complete and it is such a beauty! The second was the Unbandaged Helicopter Skewb. I have made a special arrangement and it will be shipped finally to Australia. Guess to whom? This picture shows my (not Unbandaged) version assembled and stickered by Tom and the Australian guest: Right, I put Cubesmith tiles on the new one. This picture shows the difference pretty well. The tiles hide the grainy structure of the WSF material, completely: This was fun so far, but the hard work waited: the stickering of Greg's Master Pentultimate. I bought glasses with magnifying lenses and an LED lamp. With superglue and a lot of patience I produced a very pleasing result. Especially, my wife was quite impressed and finds it beautiful. Here she is holding the tiny little guy: Greg wrote a nice comment in a different thread: RubixFreakGreg wrote: Beautiful !! Good job !! And here it sits together with its companions: Unbelievable that the Master is so much smaller than Tom's 30mm version (edge length = 30mm). Compare it with a normal 3x3x3: My biggest and my smallest puzzle: I'm so proud of it. Even in a closeup it doesn't look so bad:

Thank you Olivér! BTW, all stickers on the three Pentultimate are from Olivér's Sticker Shop! Thanks to Tom, Greg, Luke as well for their designs. And thanks to William Kretschmer for the stickers of the Curvy Coper Skewb!

I just got a combinescion in the mail. This has been one hard for puzzle for me to find. Video here. There is one in the museum. It's very similar to an enigma puzzle. This is one of 12 that I saw at the same time. I chose the virgin because I am one. This set had each of the zodiac on it. But as I'm running out of room, one was enough for me.

An original, cast Ghost Cube; complete with Jason's signature. It's a very nice puzzle, I've had lots of fun with it so far. It has a really nice weight to it too. Definitely my favourite modification of the 3x3. Thanks Jason!

AND it is one of the very early ITC cube packagings. Later the packaging came without the "Made in Hungary" text on the top of the box.

Yesterday something special arrived at my house . It look's like 2 pyramids smashed together, but it's red ! Here's a picture that traiphum took before shipping it to me: Yes it's basicly "only" a super curvy copter, but the puzzle is so beautiful . Turning is wonderful, it's made from a curvy copter but the turning as a slight different feeling. Thank's again Traiphum and Darren for this amazing puzzle.

November 5th I wrote this. Two days ago I have received another beautiful puzzle from Traiphum, the Megamorphix. Kind of a family photo: Together with the not so rare, mass-produced Dinomorphix I own now 4 Traiphum's puzzles. His custom, hand-made puzzles are just outstanding!

Yes, I agree that is rare indeed! The cardboard looks circa 1995 and some of the ink may contain molecules which are much older. Well done!

I got excited when I saw the puzzle, but as it is from America I am guessing it is not a production sample of the long awaited re-release. Is the fact that you got an original one a bad sign for your expectations of a re-release actually happening?
