Can you post an image showing the puzzle in midturn?
Can you give me the two edge lengths and the weight?

I believe you could have stickered this like an Ultimate Cube and only needed 6 colors to give the puzzle a unique solved state. This shape is ideal for the Ultimate Cube.

The midturn-image demonstrates perfectly why you have choosen this height for the tips.
This was your reasoning, wasn't it?

Hello, Mr. Nortmann
No, I think the reasoning was, I know what are the cuts to create a tetrakis hexahedron to make it on a 3x3x3, so I did the reverse, instead of removing the material I added material, the height is only a result wasn't my choice;
Would be nice if it could turn at that point.
Best regards
Rafael

Great job. So if I understand correctly, no pieces are sanded down? All of them are extended?

Hello,
yes, certainly, I have not decided to make a hybrid handmade 3d printed, only a casing for 4x4x4, as they go, gaining familiarity with the 3D program, I will see to do something more concrete than this.
the only thing nice about this is that it's done right, I think it's not bad to be started from 0, without understanding what is an extrusion :).
Best regards
Rafael

Hello,
i I colored the body, But I must say I was disappointed as to what I was expecting an homogeneous color
not a mosaic, and then I was hoping for a black , not in a purple! I must have done something wrong :)
is ugly?

Best regards
Rafael

Did you soak the pieces in water for some time before the dyeing? If not, then you should. Oskar

Hello all,
After backless the wsf pieces from the old puzzle, with an interesting
diluent (Loctite brand) and proceeded to clean residues of glue today I boiled again extensions with the ryt
inside and outside the pieces, in the photo waiting for the pieces to dry and the new Dayan + MF8 Black (base),
this time I don't say when the puzzle will be ready as bad luck haunts me i hope for tomorrow;
best regards

UPDATE
Unfortunately, the basis of the puzzle during the boiling becomes deformed and the puzzle don't turn well as the first;
the color is beauty but i need to purchase another dayan mf8 spring 4x4x4 Black this time to replace the damaged base;
I am somewhat irritated as the material used in conjunction with my mistakes
cost me about 180 EUR :twisted: ;

Stay tuned for the next puzzle, Curvy copter HD

Best regards
Rafael
