6x6x6 Axis Cube

Hi everyone,

I hope you all have a nice day.

It has been almost 3 months since my last update and today I bring you my new puzzle: 6x6x6 Axis Cube

Anybody know the alternative name of the 6x6 puzzle(5x5 = professor)?

The 6x6x6 Axis cube was made from a black 6x6x6 [removed]. All of the pieces were filled and capped with milliput and 1mm plastic sheet.

I was very frustrated while making the puzzle because turning of the puzzle is quite bad. But now, after sanding, lubricate and tighten the screw, it is very smooth.

Is this the highest order of the axis puzzle was done?

Excellent puzzle! As the 4x4x4 would be described as the Master Cube, and the 5x5x5 is either the Professor or Elite Cube, the next higher order from that is usually called Royal. So I would call this the Royal Axis Cube.

Great Build! I like the name as it is. Those pictures are very good. How did you take them?

Are you sure Luke? I've searched the forum and someone call the 7x7 and even the 9x9 is royal. It is confusing! :mrgreen:

I use my Panasonic LX5 for the pictures, then I use adobe lightroom for editting the brightness, contract,... and then I create these .png images by GIMP 2. I can also use just GIMP 2 for the whole process but I get used to using lightroom.

This is superb. I always think there's something extra special about cubic puzzles.

Usually I am full of praise for edited images but not in this case.
After splitting up the image for the museum the remaining images will be way to small.
Can you please post the edited original images from which you built this single one?
