This is the fourth and probably the last of my Holey Megaminx transformations (other three here). As stated in my video I made it because people seem to like the Siamese version and this is similar. By having three interacting layers I believe it is slightly more difficult.

Is there any way you can fill in the missing centers on each side? I think they would look better that way. I know this works on void cube mods, but I don't know if it would work on the "holey" mechanism.

Well...
The only reason this is called "holey" is because Lee Tutt (the original inventor of this puzzle) called it that. It is a true void puzzle.
And if you were to fill in the holes, that pretty much defeats the whole point of the puzzle, which is that it has no center piece.

The only easy way to do it would be to have the centres fixed and slightly recessed. By fixed I mean they wouldn't rotate. The edges and corners would rotate around them.

Perhaps, though, you could extend the centers into a pyraminx crystal type arrangement, then the gaps would be filled and you would have a cool pattern.
