Okay, so for my birthday this year I'm getting 150 British Pounds worth of cubes! Yes, lucky me . But I'm at a dilemma, I've reached £123, and I don't know what to choose between 3 puzzles . Here's what I'm definitely getting: WitEden 3x3x9 - x1 WitEden 3x3x6 - x1 C4Y 3x3x4 - x3 WitEden Super 3x3x3 - x1 Rex Cube - x1 Ayi's 5x5x4 x1 Dino Cube - x1 Axis Cube - x1 The 3 3x3x4's are because I'm going to be making a 3x3x5. Here's what I'm stuck between: TomZ & Calvin's 4x4x6 mf8 Helicopter Dodecahedron mf8 Dino Dodecahedron I'm new to puzzle solving, just thought I'd add that (And this is my first post! Yay for me )

I would not recommend the Dino Dodecahedron. It's a neat puzzle, but you can solve it within 10 minutes easily. Also, it is prohibitively large.

Personally i'd go for the 4x4x6. i only have a couple, but i really like the cuboid puzzles - the 4x4x6 is going to be in the next batch of puzzles i order for sure, I've seen nothing but good reviews about it .

I'd go for the 4x4x6 aswell, ive had a printed one before (not from SW), and even though it was a quite bad print, it was one of my favourite puzzles.
On another note, why would you need 3 3x3x4s? I made my 3x3x5 using one 3x3x4 and one 3x3x3 (redKb:s guide).

I'd definitely go for the 4x4x6 out of those few you have to choose from! Can I put a spanner in the works and suggest getting a crazy 4x4 type II. This is also a hell of a puzzle worth more than it's cost! Either that or beg for more cash and get both!

yeah, 150 quid is just too stingy! I must admit i thought it required two 3x3x4's. I'm sure I've seen crazybadcuber saying that's what he needed to make one. I'd love to attempt that myself, but i am completely useless at making things, i would either destroy it or make it so badly it would be unplayable Hopefully someone will mass produce one soon. Since it's basically just an extended super 3x3x3 it seems odd that nobody has done it.

Best to make a 3x3x5 from an Eastsheen 5x5x5 in my opinion though there's no tutorials so you'd have to figure it yourself. Out of the puzzles you mention I would rate the 4x4x6 the highest however you are already getting a lot of squares and rectangles so I would add a mf8 Helicopter Dodecahedron or mf8 Dino Dodecahedron just to mix it up a bit more.

To all people asking why I'm using 3 3x3x4's, I'm using 2, and keeping one I'll have a lot of left over pieces to make small things like 1x2x3's etc. Tony Fisher wrote: Best to make a 3x3x5 from an Eastsheen 5x5x5 in my opinion though there's no tutorials so you'd have to figure it yourself. A bit off this topic, but I really badly want to get David Pitchers pentamid, and coming up with my own solution for the first time ever

Have you got a Skewb and/or Master Skewb? I'd recommend those instead, lol.
