People following me on
Twitter will already have had a sneak preview of these. For everyone else though-
I had seen things people had done with Void Cubes and wondered if something similar was possible with Holey Megaminxes. Luckily it was and I found that you can cut away large chunks of the puzzle and it still works so I set about making a few variations.
The first one I made was my Extreme Holey Megaminx. It has an extra large hole bang through the middle of it. This leaves six void pentagons effectively in a ring. However as soon as I finished this I felt a little disappointed. It just feels a bit boring so I quickly moved on to the next two.
The second one I made was my Siamese Void Pentagons. I was much happier with this and think it looks quite nice.
The third is my U-Void and isdefinitely my favourite. I like the way it looks impossible yet still works. I really didn't know what to call this and I originally named it Siamese Void Pentagon Quadruplets which seemed a bit ridiculous.
There is an issue with the untidy non stickered areas and if I make more I will consider making them a more definite black.
