Now that we are discussing changes to the museum, I have to ask a question. Why is there no link to the forum thread where the puzzle was released (this of course only applies to custom puzzles). Because it would be a lot of work, possibly too much, to edit every single custom puzzles museum page, could you/we at least put it in new puzzles museum pages?
If this is not possible, could anyone be so kind to explain why?
Several reasons:
- A lot of work.
- There is no way to add links before a new entry is created. That means an additional step of work. See the next point.
- Usually I enter descriptions, dates, etc. several days before entering a new puzzle, because in the meantime the image editing has to be done. It prooved to be more efficient to do things (entering 10-20 descriptions, editing ca. 50 images, accepting and uploading everything) in batches.
- I hate to say that but in my perception this holds true: Many original threads do not contain much information beyond inventor and year. This holds true even for my inventions in many cases.
- The museum was created before a time when half of its entries were presented on the accompanied forum.

In the past 1.5 years there were 3 (!) submissions for new links and all were gladly accepted by me.
If anybody wants to add more links to existing entries (see #2 again for reference) please feel free. I will accept all these submissions after checking them.
Maybe if Sandy can get rid of the hindrance in #2 I will do it by myself for new entries.
One last note:
Sometimes I may sound agressively unhelpful on suggestions but I do not get paid for maintaining the museum.
