This is my latest puzzle, the face turning and corner turning icosahedron. It uses hyperbolic cuts and it uses a mechanism like the tutminx because it has the turning pattern of a truncated icosahedron. It changes shape like the tuttminx but it isn't designed to change shapes so it can lock up a bit. I was actually able to solve this one!

Feel free to ask questions and if you want to suggest a name for the puzzle please do!

Here is the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBJKuOaNoiA&feature=youtu.be

Looks beautiful! Very well made! Will you put it for sale on ebay soon? Or Shapeways?

Looks like a great beginner's puzzle. Good job. Visually it reminds me of Will's vertex-turning rhombic triacontahedron.

Will it count as jumbling or SS?

Neither as far as I can tell. That looks like fudging.

Of course, you could mean shape-shifting to mean any time the outer shape changes which usually means that both fudging and jumbling are also shape-shifting.

Nice puzzle! It has the same face cut pattern as a 24-cube-octahedron!
Do you have more puzzles coming? I always enjoy seeing puzzles from you

The piece outlines make the pattern of a tiny geodesic dome. I love it! :D

that's awesome! I'd totally buy one if it got mass produced or was cheap enough on shapeways

I'm glad to hear you like this puzzle! :D My next puzzle is ready to be released and the one after that needs some more work. There is a third puzzle that is ready to be purchased from shapeways.

Im not sure if this puzzle counts as jumbling or shape-shifting but it is whatever the tuttminx does when you make shape-shifting moves. i'm pretty sure it could be completley "unbandaged" with fudging similar to Oskar's futtminx.

I will be aucitoning this puzzle soon and then a few weeks later I will sell puzzles to those who send me an e-mail or a personal message. I'm still thinking about shapeways though. I like to sell my puzzles on shapeways but it is very time consuming making sure it's clear to the customer as to what to purchase.

Speaking for myself here, the amount of work making the puzzle doesn't factor into my decision to buy a puzzle. I'm willing to spend almost any amount of time to get a puzzle working. As long as the design is good, difficulty or complexity assembling is a non-issue.

I'd prefer a puzzle worth selling to be available rather than not. In your case, emailing you about prints works just fine :-)

I was away from my PC for two weeks and therefore could not ask this earlier:
Can you post an image demonstroting the corner turn alone in midturn?
