On Saturday at the Vancouver Summer 2012, Kris De Asis set a new world record solving the 5x5x5 in 52.65 seconds.

Edit: The previous record of 54.86 seconds was set by Yu Nakajima at the Matsudo Spring 2012. Kris beat this record by 2.21 seconds. A year ago at the Vancouver Summer 2011, Kris had a time of 1:02:22, so he beat this time by 10.43 seconds.

along with the date it was archivend, by who and the difference of the two
Records. Thanks

I remember when the best times for a 3x3x3 were longer than this Consider my mind well and truly boggled.

That must have been a very short period of time regarding that the first official 3x3x3 world record was 23 seconds in 1982...

Kris was at the Las Vegas Nationals, and I swear it sounded like my name "Chris DeAngelis" when they were on the speakers. But wow on the achievement!
