Solvingwise is it the same as a rex cube. I am interested in it but try not to buy puzzles that offer no new solving experience.

I don't think they ship outside Europe at the moment - something to do with not having worldwide safety permits or something, they only have them for Europe at the moment - don't quote me on that I'm not certain of the details.

Hi all, Yes Zzupler is correct. We cannot ship outside Europe at present. We have to conform to toy safety standards and currently do in Europe. I am trying to find out about the USA standards at present - quite difficult process!

As soon as I hear positively I will let you all know.

PS Robert111, I think think the Dioctipoid does offer a new experience, so far I have only heard of 5 people able to solve level 1 and 2 able to do level 2. Unless anyone else can correct me on this?

Hi Paul and Robert,

I have the version 2, I really like it. The Rex Cube is one of my favourite puzzles so it's nice to have a spherical version. I also have Traiphum's Rexamorphix and all 3 are nice variations with a slightly different experience. I don't think the Dioctipoid is much more challenging than the Rex Cube, but it's certainly a different flavour in my opinion, there is no orientation on the Dino Edges and they are in identical, interchangable pairs. There are plenty of people capable of solving it though. The version 1 IMO is far too easy, I would be more interested in a second one if it had something like Gus' colour scheme here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=23353

Hi Paul,
Mine came yesterday, thankyou for the fast delivery.
The puzzles are great and the colors really beautiful. I solved the 1.0 yesterday, and solved the 2.0 this morning, which was a more difficult and confusing solve for me because of the arrangement of the colors on that one, after making set up moves I lost my way returning them a few times, but as the puzzle comes together these got easier to visualize.

I see SunnWinder has now solved version 1, so maybe that one is relatively easy.... That is still only six people to sove it that I have heard of ;o) Number two does seem to be more challenging! I did see Gus couler scheme, and it does look good. Of course as time progresses we will be looking at more variety and difficulty, but need to concentrate on getting these out there more for now.

Update on USA delivery, I will be sending samples over there soon for required testing and if all goes well (and should be no problem as standards are very similar) then we will be able to offer to you guys over the pond soon!

1.0 is exceptionally easy, in part because it is "edgeless". 2.0 is only a challenge because the color scheme is somewhat contrived. I had to refer to a picture to make sure I was getting the colors right.
