Hi Everybody, My latest review is about a trick puzzle box, the Tricky Gift Box. The design is based on Allan Boardman's Aha Box, first presented at the 24th IPP. The goal is to find the secret move to open the box. Very clever mechanism. Read more here. Enjoy the Reading Gabriel

Hi Everybody, For the final review of the week, I wrote about a nice packing puzzle designed by William Strijbos. The puzzle has 16 pieces in two colors and your task is to pack them in a 4x4 two-layer checkerboard pattern. Pretty hard to solve. For more info, check out the review here. Enjoy the Reading Gabriel

Hi Everybody, This week is started by a review of two puzzles by George Bell, the Screwy Octahedron and Nuclear Fusion Puzzle, both 3D-printed by Shapeways. The puzzles have four and three pieces respectively, and the goal is to assemble them into the desired shape. Not as easy as it sounds, despite having few pieces. Read more about them here. Enjoy the Reading Gabriel

George kindly sent me one of his Screwy Octahedron puzzles quite a while back as a gift, and that was the first 3d printed puzzle I ever owned. I couldn't believe how much strength there was in the pieces considering how light and flimsy they felt. That was when I decided I like 3d printed puzzles and I won't avoid them any more.

Hi Everybody, Today's review is about a great design by the Czech Václav Obšivač, the Kamarad. The puzzle is a coordinate-motion interlocking puzzle with six identical pieces, but taking it apart could be a tough job, especially when it looks like another type of puzzle. You can read the review here. Enjoy the Reading Gabriel

Hi Everybody, The last review of the week is for another great Hanayama Cast puzzle, the Square, designed by Vesa Timonen. A level 6/6 puzzle with the object being to separate its four pieces. It's actually easier than a standard Hanayama level 6 puzzle. Read more about it here. Enjoy the Reading Gabriel

Enjoy the Reading Gabriel That is SO, SO NOT a level 6/6 !! Just by looking at it, I found an immediate solution and I just checked it on the internet and it was right. Level 6/6 should be the rating of the cast equa (5/6) which I still haven't managed to solve after 2 years !! Thanks for the review, I really like that one !

Hi Everybody, Until I get my new batch of puzzles, the reviews are a little more scarce, but I'll try to get at least 3 a week. The first for this week is a fantastic puzzle, the Cubits, manufactured by Kadon Enterprises. It's comprised of 16 flat pieces, but the shapes and patterns it can build look like 3D structures. The nice visual effect is done by having three colored rhombi at different angles that form a cube. Over 100 puzzles are already included in the puzzle's booklet. To get a more detailed description, check out my review here. Enjoy the Reading Gabriel

Hi Everybody, Another review just published, this time for a wooden assembly puzzle, the Radius. There are four interlinked pieces in a cylindrical shape that have to be taken apart and then put back together. A nice design, although it doesn't offer that much of a challenge. Here's the link for the review. Enjoy the Reading Gabriel

The drawing is the Birds, Fish and Turtles and the puzzle is from a collection with five more MC Escher drawings. Very nice puzzle. Check it out here. Enjoy the Reading Gabriel
