Hi bellow are pictures of 1) this puzzle known as "The Orb" it was manufactured here at Brazil on the 80's here we had some puzzles done such as The Orb, Rubik's Snake, Rubik's tower, Seventh Circus, Missing Link "called here as ELO MALUCO" this is high quality puzzle and was missing 3 red beads, i made a EPOXI mold and used a resin here called "araudite" mixed with finger nail tint to produce 3 red beads Attachment:

I am just puzzled about what you want to achieve. Why do you think a one-dollar-cube could lead to something usable? How do you want to get a mastermorphix out of it when you start with that truncated shape? To end up with a mastermorphix you have to start with this: http://twistypuzzles.com/cgi-bin/puzzle.cgi?pkey=862Gluing extensions on four sides of your shape will result in something like this: http://twistypuzzles.com/cgi-bin/puzzle.cgi?pkey=2191

Wow Andreas you just happen to be the inventor of the puzzle and shape that i initiate this mastermorphix build with http://twistypuzzles.com/cgi-bin/puzzle.cgi?pkey=2189this is amazing i did not even knew before that the correct approach to accomplish that was this that you mention above: "To end up with a mastermorphix you have to start with this: http://twistypuzzles.com/cgi-bin/puzzle.cgi?pkey=862Gluing extensions on four sides of your shape will result in something like this: http://twistypuzzles.com/cgi-bin/puzzle.cgi?pkey=2191" but today after you mention the word "truncated" shape, i did a little search here and end up discovering that you invented, unbeliaveble well now i understand why you said that you was "Puzzled" ... so let me explain, my wife and i we were wondering how to shape the cheap 3x3x3 then we figured out like this cut you invented was an easy way to the mastermorphix, after all this explanation i made this image here to you check out how we wonder to stick the puzzle if was just that with no extentions: Attachment:

SunnWinder wrote: Claudio, the Mastermorphix is a great puzzle to build, but you may find this puzzle easier to make without epoxy sculpt for the extensions. There are some more pictures here that might help. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=23789Thanks a lot, incredible solution this one you said above! i was clueless when i start that fact is that my wife and i, we held that Pillow MasterMorphix showed at the pictures above, in our hands and felt like there were two cuts and lots of epoxi sculpture to be done, guess we were very wrong! but now maybe i will stop and do as this link you kindly said...
