SunnWinder asked me to post this stuff of his new mod. He had hoped to post it himself, but I guess his application is lost in the post!

Hope you like it. Vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cGn56Dka0I

Wow, that is one beautiful puzzle. But then again, one can't expect anything less from SunnWinder. :)

Not so hard mod, but looks really very Beautiful!
I need to make one by myself someday.

How many colors did he use?
45 or 12+30 or 12+2x15 maybe just 12+3x10?

Did he use plastic sheets to cover the truncated pieces?

I like it! :)

I wonder how it would look if all of the new faces were extended to complete a Rhombic Triacontahedron shape.

Thankyou everyone.
I used 30 different colors for the stickering and doubled up on 12.
It is a fairly easy truncation but I didn't use plastic sheet for this one, I filled the pieces with milliput before shaping it.
But, after shaping it several of the filled bits on those center pieces fell out, because they had little to cling on to, so I picked at every piece and glued them in if they were loose.
