I thought it was easy, i was wrong....
how to solve the last "clock" guys?

I don't own a time machine myself, so I can't confirm that this works, but here's an alg I think should be a [5,1] 3-cycle.

In 4x4-like commutator/conjugate notation: [[U2:[Rw:U]],Bw]
Written out in full: [U2 Rw U Rw' U2' Bw U2 Rw U' Rw' U2' Bw']

Here is the definition of my notation since my notation is perhaps ambiguous:
U2 = turn the top clockface 2 "clicks" clockwise (60 degrees rotation)
Rw = turn the right side of the 2x2, including the right clock-face 90 degrees clockwise

I *think* it should 3-cycle 2 adjacent pieces on the top clockface and 1 piece from the right clockface. Let me know if this doesn't work and/or if my notation is un-decipherable.

ohoh... i think there is a problem of "parity" for this puzzle..
can happen all solved except 2 pieces adjacents reversed....

some idea guys? i dont think this is solvable with this algoritm

It's solvable with the algoritm as long as you realize that the exchange of two adjacent pieces can also be viewed as a 11-cycle which is solvable.

and how this is possible? repeating 11 times changing every time clock in U face?

Hi, I am having a problem aswell on this, But I am having problems understanding the alg. on this. I can get all but 1 side to have the numbers in order. I did not learn alg. in the right manner. So it's a little hard for me to understand. Is there any one that has the time machine that can make a video on how to put the numbers in order on the last layer?
Just to say how I learned, I had truble when I first started to learn how to solve the 3x3 cube with alg. and understanding U,Ui,R,Ri,ex,ex,ex,. I had to put it in a way that it was easyer for me to understand. Like U=T arrow to the left, Ui=T arrow to the right, R=R with a arrow up, Ri=R with arrow down, ex,ex,. I am slowly learning the right way but it's still hard. I can solve a lot of puzzles. But just had to learn in a diffrent way. I am better at hands on watching some one then reading how.
Any help on this would be great, Thank You.

I have no video equipement but I made a sequence of pictures for you.
Please, read from left to right and from top to bottom.
You can click onto the picture to enlarge it.
(Notation follows closely the usual letter notation of WCA: U stands for the upper clock; D for the down clock; x2 is the usual notation for turning the whole cube around the (x) axis going through the faces at your left and right.
Rw stand for "Right wide" meaning two layers at once. In my move sequence only one kind of Rw turns is used where the whole right half of the puzzles is turned by 180 degrees, written as Rw2)


The result is a 3-cycle of numbers on the U clock:
1 is now at the Position of the former 11.
11 went to the position of the former 12.
12 went to the position of the former 1.

You can vary this move sequence by replacing the number 1 by 2 or 3.
Rw2 U3 Rw2 D3' Rw2 U3 Rw2 U3' Rw2 U3' D3 Rw2 U3' can be used to deal with an odd permutation (like just two numbers are swapped).

Thank you, The pic's helped a lot. I really need to sit down and learn the right way to read alg. But for me it is easyer to take the info. and reduce it to a way that I can understand. I have allways had that truble. I learn better when I can see whats going on. Thank you agian for the help.

Hey Konrad, this is a great find. I too have a 12-move ([5,1] commutator) but it doesn't have the same nice property of all three cycled pieces being next to each other. That's quite useful.
