Good day! Is it possible to make an axis^3 cube?(applying 3 axis concept in a 3x3) Because it might just return to an axis cube, but I'm not sure. Anyone there that can help me with this? Illustrations are very appreciated. Thanks!

Axising a cube three times along the same axis would just give you an axis cube, and axising twice would give you a normal cube. But axising an axis cube on a different axis could be interesting

I think it will be the normal 3x3 or an axis cube

Axising twice (different axes) gave me this cube: Attachment:

But I see it's already been done.

When I did an Axis^3 I got this: Attachment:

The marked point is exactly half way along that edge. Is this correct?

Ours are slightly different, but I had that aswell. In fact the regular axis cube has also the same thing (being four edges divided in half by the cuts). BTW you use SketchUp aswell? EDIT: Well that question was redundant, should have remembered from my lurking...

Rex, be careful, I have not analysed this very much. If I do the third axising but pick a different rotaion axis I get: Attachment:

I have tried a couple more but I just get repeats of the previous cubes. Maybe a more detailed analysis is required. As to how you actually build one of these, I have no idea

HeX wrote: So how did the first one happen? Just a some kind of error? I don't think so, it's just that I guess that for the third axising you have a choice of axes, so you get different results. Anyone with Solidworks out there who can provide a definitive answer?
