I was there. The hungarians were excited to see me, they're very familiar with the cutting edge of twisty designs.
Erno Rubik is very short. Happily, he's notable inside Hungary for his architectural work, unrelated to his puzzle work, and one of the hungarians told me he used to watch Rubik on a science show on TV when he was a kid.
I gave Rubik some of my Hanayama puzzles, which he was unfamiliar with.
Paul Hoffman, who runs the museum, wanted to talk to me about possible future involvement in the exhibit. I should follow up with him about that.
David Blaine performed his new routine where he does a bunch of stuff underwater pretending that he isn't underwater, which is fairly entertaining.
Other than that, Oliver Sachs and Temple Grandin spoke, and the food was pretty good, and there were a few performers, it was basically the same as every other charity ball.
