Hello Everybody. This is my small collection... -3x3x3 old Rubik's cube -2x2x2 Rubik´s cube -5x5x5 Rubik's cube -Megaminx -Pyraminx Crystal -Starminx II -Curvycopter -Master Skewball -Bandaged Cube -Mosaic Cube -Fto -Rubik's 360º -The last one i dont know the name... My question is, What puzzles do you think should be my next aquisitions? I´m interested in diferent solving experiences and prefer those who are somehow difficult to solve. I would like to know your opinions. Thanks.

A professor pyraminx or some cuboids (3x3x2, 4x4x5) would be a good addition to your collection. Rex cubes are also fun to solve.

I would suggest any of the circle cubes or megaminxes, or a cubiod like 3x4x5 or 4x4x5 etc or the Bermuda cubes.

I also agree that a cuboid or two would be good. The Tower Cube (2x2x3) and Domino (2x3x3) are both good starting points in that regard. I'd also suggest a 2-layer Cheese (or if you can find one, a UFO).
Then of course there's the Pyraminx and Skewb (or one of its many forms), although if you are looking for a challenge, they are not very challenging (well, the Skewb can be, I suppose). And on the subject of easy puzzles that are still awesome, there is also the Gear Cube.
Also, there's the 4x4 cube, which IMO is actually harder than the 5x5 because of the parity situations you can encounter.
Finally, I'd recommend a Square-1 (and also a Square-2). Both of them are quite tricky.

I'm a fan of all of the gear mechanism puzzles, mainly for how tactile they are and how incredible they look rather than their level of difficulty.
Even though they are not that difficult, with sticker mods you could make some of them much more taxing.

Thanks for you reply. I Made a search in the forum about the Crazy Circle Cubes and the Bermudas. I think im gonna buy one of those. They are not to expensive. Perhaps the neptunes. They have both 3 adjacent sides diferent from the oposite ones if i´m not wrong.

I ordered the Neptune but they send me the Mercury. :-I
Since i´m new on this type of puzzle i think i will keep it anyway.
I was thinking... if a get a Jupiter and exchange the center caps between them i can make the all 8 combinations, right?

@ Sedna - Yes - get the Jupiter and swap out the centres. Mercury and Jupiter are relatively easy so are a good place to start. See the Crazy (in more than one way!) thread, for tips and tricks etc on them all. I personally love the Earth and Neptune variants. They have the best balance between difficulty and fun to solve.

Both are great puzzles but if you can only get one at a time then most definitely get a Curvy Copter - it is absolutely brilliant and completely different to most other puzzles. I reviewed it for other puzzle people (i.e. not twisty people ) on my website here: http://www.puzzlemad.co.uk/2012/02/twisty-puzzle-madness-i-tomzs-curvy.htmlJust buy it you won't regret it!!!

Professor Pyraminx or Volcano could be up your alley. The regular Pyraminx is pretty easy to solve, so I doubt you'd want one except for perhaps the still-available 30th Anniversary Edition.

I've actually been in the same predicament... I've been trying to find a puzzle that looks interesting, isn't bigger than a pyraminx crystal, and doesn't take more than 3 minutes on average for a sort-of-speed cuber to solve. I have a megaminx, pyraminx, pyraminx crystal, vulcano, crazy 4x4 I and II, gear cube, professor pyraminx, helicopter and curvy helicopter cube, rex cube, kilominx, rainbow cube, a 3x3x4, square 1 and super square 1, a skewb ultimate, and a 1x1-8x8. Any suggestions?

The new Pentahedrons can be solved in under 3 minutes. I haven't tried any of the ones with bandaging but the 3-layer, 5-layer, Crazy 5-layer (unbandage it to make it like the Uranus), and Circle 3-layer (Uranus) are all fun and rather simple. For customs, Eric Vergo's Unbandaged Helicopter cube is fun and can be done in under 3 minutes. TomZ's Helicopter Skewb is also great and can be done in under 3 minutes if you don't go crazy on the jumbling.

Dino Dodecahedron is the next puzzle on my (very long) wishlist, I hesitate between black or white body, I wonder which colour other puzzle collectors prefer?
