I was about to place my order for the white Treasure Chest off of the Jade Club and when I clicked add to cart the title of the item in the checkout said 'no thumb stick' I did the same procedure for the Black cube as well but it said the exact thing. Will it come with a thumb stick because for the price of the cube I would expect it?

I believe that all of the USB drives have been sold already, meaning that there will not be any more placed inside of the treasure chest cubes or along with any other puzzle.

RubixFreakGreg wrote: Not only this, but the Treasure chest is supposed to be opened ONLY when the two first layers are solved, and YET, there are 48 solutions when they are NOT solved, so you're pretty much buying something that doesn't live up to your expectations Ex: R L D2 R' L' open Greg if I do that alg from a solved position your telling me it'll still open? Its ashame really poor turning quality no thumb stick and can be opened very easily. Not sure if I should get it now....

It's a collectors item and that's about it. If it ever reaches dogic/golden cube value you'll regret not buying one.

The puzzle turns amazingly well considering the thing is hollow. If you want better you might as well just use a regular Rubik's Cube. The USB stick had a design flaw so it's unlikely that Uwe would make more. As far as I know the pouches are now sold out also. The idea is that you fully solve it to open it. It's your choice if you want to take short cuts.

It's a great looking cube and I think it's probably gonna become expensive in a couple of years since I think it's supposed to be a limited edition. But I wish mine would have come with mefferts pouches. I don't care about the stick but I'm wondering what was inside it, it would be great if someone (with mefferts' consent) would upload them somewhere so people like us that where a little late in ordering the puzzle would also have them.

It is a great novelty puzzle to have in your collection. However once solved there seems little point in solving it again so other puzzles will give more entertainment. It's really up to you what kind of puzzle you are looking to get. Just to avoid any misunderstanding, I am not saying it moves really well, I am just saying for what it is it's pretty impressive.

Hi Tony and KozehCubes, For me (with young children) it has had a lot of re-use. My kids will always want to solve it for the surprise inside! Your wife will want to solve it too.. if her car keys are in there! (Warning.. possible puzzle damage may result). The sequence that Greg gave (R L D2 R' L' open) is fairly obvious and unavoidable for a puzzle of this type.. and so is the F2L open, etc. It only stands to reason that if you align `all pieces in the U layer with their matching partner underneath-in ANY order` it will open. I actually can't wait until my kids find the F2L shortcut on their own, I will consider it a real solving breakthrough for them. Cheers, Burgo.
