Description:
A holey Treasure Chest with a scrambled Micro Rubik's Cube inside. The cube is much larger than the holes. A stand is attached to one edge piece.

Initial state:
Treasure Chest- "solved". Internal Micro Cube- "scrambled".

Solved state:
Puzzles separate and both solved (In the video I forgot to say the big cube should also be in a solved state).

Notes:
You may not disassemble the Micro Cube.
The fact that the Micro Cube is white with a keyring loop is not relevant.
All other elements are relevant to the solving.
This puzzle is not intended to be solved with my bare chest method.
It's difficult to really show the internal Micro Cube in the video or photos.
I don't want to spoil any potential buyers enjoyment of the puzzle by revealing it's secrets yet but I will update this post at a suitable time.
Apologies for the dreadful dialogue but it's one of the few puzzle that doesn't speak for itself.

This is very much a puzzle that you need to have in your hands to appreciate (or dislike) though I thought my video clearly described it.
There are many non twisty puzzles in the world where half the fun is working out what to do to solve them and not simply working out algorithms. I thought it was about time that this concept was brought into a twisty puzzle. I am sure it is alien to many here and I too am not sure about what I have created. sometimes I think it's a great idea but other times I think it's just stupid.
More importantly than the puzzle itself though I very much hope it opens up another aspect of twisty puzzles and proves they aren't 'old hat' as some people seem to think.

1.) That puzzle looks excessively awesome, great idea
2.) Twisty puzzles will never, ever, ever, ever, etc., be old. Ever. Never.

Is it possible for the internal cube to be able to reorientate itself within the larger cube? I have suspicions on how to solve it.

Yes but remember the internal Cube must end up outside.

Is the mini 3x3 scrambled then the solved state of the mini 3x3 is the open state for the treasure chest.
Are he mini 3x3 corners attached to the base of the treasure chest corners or something similar, where when you turn a treasure chest face it turns a face of the mini 3x3?

Some of you are getting the idea so here is the rest of the post.

Remember this is the kind of puzzle you would be attempting to solve with no prior knowledge. Knowing what to do in advance will completely spoil any enjoyment. I haven't decided yet but I may auction this so-

SPOILER
The solver has to first work out how to open the Treasure Chest. He (or she) would quickly realise that it will not come apart in it's visually solved state. Hopefully he would come to realise that the only clue to opening the chest lies with the inner Micro Cube since as stated all aspects are relevant including the holes and ability to see the internal cube.
As some have already worked out the outer cube must be put into the same pattern as the inner cube in order to open it. The problem with this though is that the holes are quite small and it is very dark inside. It probably would be possible to just about see the colours but it would not be much fun so I have included a secret element that the solver will probably discover. By twisting the stand a small light comes on inside making it much more seeable.
Now he merely has to rattle the inner cube around and copy the pattern onto the outer cube. Once done the Chest is mechanically solved and can be opened to reveal the inner cube which can then be solved as normal. Ideally I would have used a black Micro Cube but the white ones I have are much better quality. Obviously black on the Micro cube represents white on the outer cube.
I guess my puzzle would only be fun to solve once but I am glad I tried something a little different.

I guessed the internal cube was the solution for opening the outer cube, but the hidden LED was a nice touch.

If i understand this correctly, then once the puzzle is in its solved state,(smaller cube outside and both cubes have all faces as one solid color), then you will have no reference for the state needed to open the larger cube again? without the smaller cube in its original "scrambled" state, you wont know how to make the larger cube.

Very interesting puzzle! Good thing you've got plenty of photos recording the open state of the outer cube. Otherwise once you separated the two cubes and solved both, you would have to resort to using your "bare chest method" to get it open again to allow the puzzle to be reassembled into it's beginning state. A rare puzzle that might actually be harder to "unsolve" than it is to solve.

I have made a note of the arrangement and any buyer would be supplied with it to reset the puzzle.

This would be a good puzzle to submit for the puzzle design competition. You would need to make a second one, but it looks like there is plenty of time. It's very innovative.

Very interesting puzzle,
its way more fun when you have to figure out what the puzzle is first!
To make it a little more difficult you could make it look like a normal 3x3, except for the stand. Maybe by replacing the stickers with tiles and then making the center tiles in a way that they could be opened (or removed) to see what's inside.

BTW, I prefer the talking version of your videos I don't see why you're apologizing

I agree that this would be a good design competition puzzle. It is part twisty puzzle, but also a trick opening box. When I saw the "secrets", I couldn't help but grin...

Absolutely amazing! I like that part of the puzzle is working out what exactly the puzzle is! The stand is actually pretty cool for display purposes too.
