Rubik's cube shape museum will buld in Budapest

I have just found this Article.

Unfortunately it is in Hungarian.
It is about an agreement between Mr Ernő Rubik, and Viktor Orbán (the prime Minister of Hungary).
They agreed to build up a Museum in a shape of a Rubik's 3x3x3.

They will start to built it up at 2014 and if everything goes well it will be ready at 2017

MY IDEA!!!
I can't believe they are actually going ahead with this. I was at a meeting with a group of puzzle people including Erno Rubik and Uwe Meffert in 2009 discussing this stuff. I suggested having a Rubik's Cube shaped building with a revolving top. I guess this won't be revolving but I'd like to think I sowed the seeds!

Before this grows to 'designed by Tony' I just want to make it clear that I have no evidence that I had anything to do with it. It's a very obvious design for such a museum and I am sure I was not the only person to suggest it. I still think they should have had a revolving top layer. A lot of those space needle things have revolving restaurants (Seattle, Hamburg etc) so it shouldn't have been that difficult.

Apparently the museum is to commemorate Hungarin smartness. It is still a cool building though.

Very neat and a fitting form for an intellectual museum! I'm glad to see that the cube is so highly regarded after 3+ decades!

Tony should go and mod the cube building into a Fisher's cube at night when no one is looking!

You would need one big dremmel

The top layer turning would be impossible if the museum was not straight up and down.
