In another thread I posted: The puzzle will have 70 cubies more than Letti's favorite (4x4x14) and it doesn't shapeshift. I don't count the pieces I calculate the cubies. Therefore the new cuboid will have 294 cubies. The primes are: 2, 3, 7, 7 I think a 1xnxm are bored or to much fragile, or impossible like a 1x14x21. Tom, Greg, Oskar or Mark please show us that I am wrong. If you combine the number 2 with one of the 7, two sides are count 3 and 7 cubies, both are odd. Then the puzzle can shapeshift. Not true. If you combine the diggit 3 with one of the 7, two sides are count 7 and 21 cubies, both are odd. Also impossible. Therefore you have combine teh 2 with the 3. Here is the biggest cuboid of the world: Greg's 6x7x7Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kf3YAvLMS-sI want to show it with my 4th cat, a wildcat. But I didn't found the cat this morning in my home. Greg's 6x7x7 Perhaps, but for how long? Please Greg and Claus, have mercy on us, take a rest from churning out cuboids like rabbits on Viagra!

I note that Rob's updated his cuboids list as of today, including this puzzle: http://www.robspuzzlepage.com/rearrangement.htm#cuboidsIt adds a new "cross-section versus number of layers" table below as well, which more easily shows gaps. Confusingly, it has a column for 3x1 but not 3x2. (Both of which are entirely redundant, if I'm reading it correctly). It also somewhat necessarily has redundancy, e.g. 3x3/6 and 3x6/3. IMHO, the grid should be "blacked out" in the case where the # of layers is less than the order of the cross section. This would make the top of the graph have a zig-zag appearance, but more clearly highlight the gaps and unique puzzles. But overall, I agree that "by cross section" is easier to visualize than a strict L<=M<=N ordering, given how e.g. the "2x2", "3x3", "4x4" and so on feel like families. I'm guessing ClausWe agrees. Thanks Rob!

To be serious: What is this monsters edge length? What is its weight? Please note that this cuboid does not qualify for the number you already gave me. Strange problem, isn't it? Andreas

When you said, world's largest cuboid, do you mean by volume or order? Technically, the 3x3x14 and 7x7x6 are the same "size" (order). 7+7+6=20 3+3+14=20 Well, I guess since they're tied, volume is what matters. Still, Nice job! ducttapedawg

All we need now is the shapeshifting 7x7x9! That would be a beast to solve though-not sure I want to think about it.

Well, I at least hope it becomes reality. Man, it must be fun to have a puzzle slave. Does anyone know where Oskar is right now?...

I tried to make a scale on the cat............
After the doctor has vetted me I take a ruler.
Here the results:
The cubies of the 377 are 19mm. In total 13,3 mm x 5,7 mm and a weight of 230 grams.
The cubies of the 677 are 12mm. In total 8,4 mm x 7,2 mm and a weight of 260 grams.
