BreadBox was my IPP31 exchange puzzle.

The concept was Bram's, but I modified it and added a theme.

The object is simple: Put the two loaves of bread in the bread box. If you want an extra challenge, add the bread crumb.

It is laser cut from Cherry, Walnut and Maple laminates and fit in a tin case.

It has quite a few pieces for a packing puzzle but the solution is really quite nice.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Your puzzles are not just fun and functional - but also stunning works of art. I can think of quite a few art museums that would accept your work

When I finish off the current batch and offer them for sale I will probably put a solved picture up on my web site, but I won't be posting it here as some may not want the hint.

um....isn't there a piece missing?

Um....two pieces actually, if you count the small bread crumb... But I am sure these two pieces are already neatly placed in the lid of the CD tin as shown in the first picture in this thread.

What? I was supposed to scroll to the top? No pieces missing then.

Is this even possible??? I can't believe there's enough total space available between the current slices to accommodate the additional slice, even if it is possible to fit them together with no gaps. Great puzzle!

PS. Please could you PM me a picture of the solution, I am very curious!

Kelvin, are you sure that you really want a picture of the solution to spoil the fun of this puzzle before you even get a chance to try it out yourself? Well, since Dave posted earlier that he would probably put up a solved picture once he offers these puzzles up for sale, I believe he won't mind a link to a picture showing that there is space for the additional slice among the other slices, as long as people are warned that this will spoil the fun...

So to give you a chance to reconsider, I won't PM you the picture, but rather let you click here [Dave: Edited!]if you are sure that you still want the hint (though I believe you will regret it.... ). Now try to fit the last small bread crumb... It won't fit in the small space in the middle of my picture since I deliberately placed the other pieces in a way that wouldn't give away the complete solution...

So I've edited Klara's message to remove her partial solution. Hers was deceptive in that it gave away pretty much the entire solution but was altered in just a few ways to make it not complete.
