In Star Wars IV "A New Hope" Han Solo asks Obi Wan: "Never heard of the Milenium Falcon old man?! It's the ship that made the Kessel-run in less than 12 parsecs." A parsec is a measurement for distance, not time. By saying this he aparently less praised his ship, but actually his skills in flying the shortest route for this race. He is more surprised about the fact that Obi Wan and Luke don't know the tails told about his skills than the actual ship. Also I need a good showcase for my cubes. There is not a single showcase in the world that perfectly fits cubes is there? My collection is about 40 pieces and I would like a showcase that hangs on the wall rather than standing and where the cubes are all lined up in groups. I need about 1m * 0,2m * 1,2m (L W B). It needs 7 layers. I can only find showcases that are way to small or only 14 cm wide, so that a teraminx already doesn't really fit in anymore (gotta subtract the material of the showcase from the measurements)... It's driving me nuts. The best I could find is this: http://www.v-1.de/Wandvitrinen/Wandvitr ... sirio.htmlSR9923 Wandvitrine. 780 € ?! no way.

I thought about making a post a while back just to thank everyone in the twistypuzzles community. You guys sure do make things interesting. oh and here is another good one http://twistypuzzles.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4209&hilit=pentagonal+prism and it is not a pentagonal prsim, that was what i was searching for when I found this. Quite in fact I have never seen this post before and did not know it existed.

Clothes shops, increase your profits by stocking more medium size and less small and large. Times I've spent hunting through hundreds of small, large, XL to find there's no medium left.

Ah, but hang on a second... you're assuming that greater volume of sales for medium size clothes will generate more profit, but that's not necessarily the case, if they can charge higher margins for unusual sizes on the basis that they are more difficult to find. Medium sizes may sell in larger volumes, but that makes them a commodity that must compete on price, so maybe they don't generate as much profit when retail space is very limited. Or maybe it's just that XXXXL is actually the new M in this world of increasing obesity. Or, more likely, the staff are just too bloody lazy (or stupid) to put new medium size clothes out on the hanger when they sell out.

Perhaps they only put out the best selling sizes in the worst selling lines

I was doing a Powerpoint slideshow on the different parts of the brain, and when I found a picture of the brain stem, I noticed an uncanny resemblance...
