I'll be going to Austria and the UK this Christmas, which is excellent! But it also means that I can only get one present (airline weight limits, suitcase space, etc.). The price range is anything below $200. Currently I'm thinking the set of all 8 crazy cube planets. (that counts as one, right?)
So, yeah. Suggestions?

Ehh, I think that you could do better than the crazy planets. Plus you don't want to drag all of those around. You should look around on shapeways and got a 3d Printed puzzle! $200 is a great amount for a shapeways puzzle!

I have to disagree (of course), you will not get more value for money than those crazy planets . In fact, if you like idea of the planets, for that price you could get 2 complimentary `Cubes` and 2 complimentary `Minxs`that you can transform into any planets and a Jupiter, Mercury and Mars `Tet` (which is all the pure circles).. they should keep you busy for.. about the rest of your life . That's the equivalent of 8+8+3=19 (plus you could make pure circle cubes=22 puzzles)! Cheers, Burgo.

Master Pentultimate before Pentultimate? :O Well, that's one way to stay occupied for two 10-hour plane rides... And thank you for the advice Burgo, but I'd rather have eight cubes than the full range of possibilities. That way I can keep track of which is which without using a screwdriver (also, I'm a bit of a completist and it would be nice to have all the planets on my shelf in body rather than spirit.)

I would also recommend Eric Vergo's Pentagram. A wonderful puzzle and it jumbles too if you so wish.

Yeah... the Crazy Planets cubes are one of those things where when someone buys all of them, it's really just for the saking of bragging they have them. I would go for a Shapeways or two... how 'bout an Oskar puzzle? He has TONS below 200 dollars! Here, right after page 7: http://www.shapeways.com/shops/oskarpuz ... =7#sg13603But whatever, it's your decision. It's your present. --JC--

Well, another set of planets has been released... and it sounds really awesome Also, they all change shape, so they're much cooler than the crazy planets
