I've been looking for a Varikon box on ebay for the last couple of months and couldn't find any so i decided to make my own.... Step 1: Get an old Impuzzables container Attachment:

Step 2: Order 1) round stickers and 2) some 19mm square dice Attachment:

Step 3: Put them together! Attachment:

Step 4: Compare to the Varikon boxes you won on ebay a few days ago which arrived the same day as supplies did!! Attachment:

Has anyone else noticed how perfectly a 3x3 fits in these Impuzzable boxes? I'd love some more to keep my cubes in if anyone knows where to buy them. Attachment:

Thanks! I was really "angry" at first because i had been looking on ebay for ages and then as soon as i ordered the supplies i found loads of them!! Now though i'm happy, even though it is much heavier than the real one the pieces slide very well in it

I like the use of putting cubes inside of it as well. I just might do that too.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! Busy plotting what to make next - hopefully it will be a bit harder/more interesting to make than this one! boom7413 wrote: Those look easy to make and very fun are they hard to solve it looksmlike it Yes, very easy to "build" and fun to solve too....in the original all the centre cubes of each face are glued to the very centre block so the sliding is a bit different than you would expect but once you get the hang of it ....well let's just say it's easy to make a mistake and mix it up again!

Really cool idea! For anyone interested and not in Singapore ( ) a search for "dice box set" on ebay will get you what you need! So many colour choices, it took me a while to make up my mind! kastellorizo wrote: More "exotic" variations can always be made, for example, having a box with extensions or... punched parts!
Do you have any examples of this type i could see? with the punched parts...do you mean a section of the box closed/blocked off? Sounds very intriguing!!

Well, a perfect example with both extensions and punched parts, is the shape of a messed up Evil Twin! That said, fractional parts, bandaging, and even ways of rotating, are not out of the question!
