HI Everyone,

I finally received some information straight from the Rubik's Studio itself.

These are the prices I charged the first time.

Rubik's 3x3 original Studio cube: $15.00
Rubik's 4x4 original Studio cube: $24.00

Here is a picture of what the puzzles looked like. I am only ordering these 2 puzzles this time around.

http://twistypuzzles.com/forum/download.php?id=1190

I don't have a shipping estimate yet, but it looks like I can sell the cubes a little cheaper this time.

The cost would be.

Rubik's 3x3 original Studio cube: $12.00
Rubik's 4x4 original Studio cube: $18.00

The 4x4x4 is a great deal compared to Rubik's site and is the same price as the Eastsheen 4x4x4 from Mefferts.

For shipping, I would charge the same as the puck puzzles. The only difference would be if you got two 4x4x4 puzzles. This would increase the weight probably 1 more puzzle. Here are the shipping costs again.

Here is a shipping Quote

These are the 1, 2, & 4 pound rates from the USA. If someone is interested in 6,7,or 8 pucks then the rate is somewhere inbetween the 5 & 12 puck quotes below.

Canada

2 pucks $3.75 Air $2.70 Surface
5 pucks $6.50 Air $5.70 Surface
12 pucks $11.75 Air $8.80 Surface

U.K. & Germany

2 pucks $8.70 Air $3.80 Surface
5 pucks $13.30 Air $6.30 Surface
12 pucks $23.10 Air $11.10 Surface

Japan

2 pucks $9.70 Air $4.05 Surface
5 pucks $14.90 Air $6.65 Surface
12 pucks $25.90 Air $11.45 Surface

If in the USA, go to http://www.usps.com. My zip code is 99214. Again, these are 1,2, & 4 pound rates.

If you want any of these puzzles. Please let me know A.S.A.P. I am traveling most of August beginning on the 10th. It would be nice to place an order before I leave. IF YOU WANT A 4x4x4, please post a message or PM me now. I will be getting many extra 3x3x3 for the future but not very many 4x4x4 puzzles. These puzzles come with the box like before, but I have been told the center caps on the 3x3x3 will not be attached so you can adjust the tension first.

FINE PRINT

You can all thank Ton for helping with this project. He got me in contact with the Rubik's studio. However, this is a very special order designed for speedcubers and collectors only. Studio cubes are marketed in Europe. Winning Moves markets the cubes in the USA along with Rubiks.com.

Please do not purchase extras and sell them at high prices on Ebay or at any other place of business. I have been told Seven Towns has approved this order to ship a box to me in the USA and since these cubes are at reduced prices, lets don't upset them :) Thanks for you cooperation.

Again, please let me know A.S.A.P. if you want any of these cubes and how many.

I still want 1 3x3, and I'm in the US but how do you ship them? (Parcel Post / Media Mail / Priority) Just so I can figure the cost of shipping. Also how do you handle orders.

Shipping in the USA is by priority mail. 1 cube would be $3.85, 2 would be $4.00. After that it is based on where you live. I prefer payment by paypal, but will accept money orders. I would like payment once the order has been placed. It looks like this order will be sent by air so I should have them within 2 weeks after the order is placed.

I received a message saying that the center caps will not be attached. They will be packed separately. Therefore you can adjust the tension first and then apply the center caps.

Wow,

Thank you all for your quick replies. Currently you guys want as many 3x3x3 cubes as I ordered the first time. I should know my shipping total tomorrow hopefully and then I will know more when the cubes will arrive. I will then send out invoices to all of you.

Hi Everyone,

Today I received a shipping quote and about fell out of my chair. A 30 lb box or 15 kg was $430!!!!! That is almost twice what I paid for EMS last time and this order was looking to be 20 kg. I have asked if there are other shipping options either surface, air, or ems. I believe the quote was for UPS, Fedex, DHL type of service.

If the shipping is that high, I may need to reduce the size of my order and that would mean no extras for anyone in the future. I really don't want to raise prices at all, but if it comes down to that I will let you know. I don't know if I will hear back from them today and I am running out of time next week. I will keep you all updated.

Thanks

Now that can't be correct. Even from Germany (which I think is very expensive for shipping) you can send 20 kg to USA for 62 Euros, +64 Euros for airmail. That's DHL, i.e. the standard in Germany (i.e. what you'll get when you walk into the post office).

Yeah, those guys must be joking. Why would anybody use that? I fact, a few days ago I looked up how much UPS would cost for sending a 200 grams letter to USA and it was like 80 Euros. Insane...

I just found out the times for DHL. The standard 62 Euros option supposedly takes 10-12 days, airmail adds 64 Euros and takes 6-7 days.

What do UPS/Fedex have that makes people use them?

P.S. Sorry for going a little off-topic...

This is what I was told on Friday

Quote:
Up to 5 kg: 220 $US
Up to 10 kg: 325$US
Up to 15 kg: 430$US

Today I found out that this is for EMS, and UPC prices. (FEDEX more expensive)

Monday they said they would look into another company that ships more slowly.

I am amazed that the prices are that high for 15 kg.

I received a better quote today for air shipping and placed my order. If I get a total and pay for it tomorrow then I would have the puzzles when I return on the 20th. If I don't get the info I need tomorrow then I probably won't order the cubes until I return. I will keep you all posted, but everything is looking good so far.

My order has been accepted, however, I still don't have all the information that i need to do the wire transfer. I hope to be able to do this while I am traveling. I am going to send those who ordered an invoice. DO NOT pay until I post another message here saying that the order has been paid for.

If I can get a payment off in the next 2 days the cubes should be here when I return and they could be mailed the same time I mail out the puck puzzles.

Again, Invoices are coming. Do not pay until I post a message here.

There are more cubes available if someone wants more or if someone new would like to get one.

All cube invoices have been sent out. Don't pay until I post my next message. If you did not receive a private message with your total, then I did not get your order. Let me know as I do have extras.

HI Everyone.

My payment is in process and the cubes will be mailed EMS express mail on Aug 22nd. I will have them ready to ship on Aug 29th based on how fast my last order got to me. If you ordered pucks also I will hold those and ship them all together. Please send your payments at anytime. I would like them all before the 22nd.

Thank you

Dodd

P.S. If you still want one, let me know. The 4x4x4's are almost gone.

Well, I am back from my trip and I do have the pucks. For everyone who ordered the studio cubes, I should have them next Monday. I have not received word yet that they have been shipped, but my contact at the studio was gone all last week and I guess is very busy today. I will post info when I know more, but the cubes are being shipped EMS and they took only 3 days last time from Hungary.

If anyone wants cubes I still have plenty of 3x3x3 but just a couple of 4x4x4's.

If you ordered cubes and haven't paid, please do so a.s.a.p. If you ordered pucks too, all puzzles will be sent together.

The studio cubes arrived today. I have boxed all those that also ordered pucks as they were the priority. I will do my best to get the rest of them out today, but some may be tomorrow.

I got mine today. Thank you so much.

I've had some internal strife between the collector and speedcuber in me. The speedcuber won and my cubes are being prepared as speedcubes.

Thanks again,
Scott

Hello!

I would be interested in a 3X3 Rubik's Speed Studio Cube if any are still left!

Also I saw on your site that you had the original Matchbox-Rubik's Magic Rings Puzzle (puzzle has a black background and rainbow colored rings), and was wondering if you knew where one might buy them or if the one pictured was for sale? I have spent a very long time searching everywhere for them and would like to buy one!

Thanks!

Respectfully,

Sam
