I would like to kindly request that all email addresses be edited to prevent spamming of the parties involved.

I have spent a half an hour editing out email addresses of various posts.

Please enter the email address as follows: roxanne(@)twistypuzzles.com. Or something along those lines. My inbox has been inundated with spam this past week because of a posted address on another site. I know other people are having the same sort of issues. Even when posting your own, or those of companies, could we please extend this simple courtesy to each other.

Bots are already smart enough to harvest e-mail address if you try to obfuscate them like that. You have to get really clever in order to beat them.

Perhaps Sandy could write some sort of script to alter the email address.

so if I were to type spammer@spamm3r.com it could be automatically changed to something like spammer is at spamm3r (dot com] or something else weird like that.

Anyone can check those emails occasionally. They shouldn't be posted anywhere online yet.

then you use ^this(the emails you receive there) to generate a block list and you upload it to spam databases. it is a %99 effective way of doing it.

I use gmail, and it has really good spam filter.

Because of my shop, I often wrote down my e-mail address to many forums.
And I only get 1 spam / 2-3 days.
