I recently contacted RubixFreakGreg about his Microminx that he had put on his Shapeways shop. He assured me that it would be functional and it was safe to print it. So without further ado, The microminx.
Sadly it was missing a corner, seems shapeways forgot it.

And thanks a lot for making a topic will! - Greg P.S: What pens / markers did you decide to color it with finally? And no, Luke, marker-pens don't exist

This is truly a TINY puzzle, it catches a little but I think the white strong and flexible will straighten itself out pretty quickly.

Nice one! I was offered this when buying the prototype for the Mini Split Pentagonal Domino and I said no. I wish I had said yes now! I'll have to get it on my next order. Is it possible to superglue stickers down onto it? I'd much rather have a stickered version; personal taste.

For a puzzle this small, how thick are the thinnest features? (corner stalks) And how well do they hold up over time?

Let me rephrase, how big is the area that connects the corners to the mechanism Since that is usually the smallest part of a puzzle. It makes me wonder if such thin features could also be used on larger scale puzzles..

So tiny, so cute !!! Does it connect by any screw or just tenon? I can't imagine how tiny the core is ...

What's the turning quality? But seriously, how is it?

The core is a ball with 12 holes that connect to the center pieces using a pushbutton-like attachment. The corners and edges are small but they still have good connection. As for the turning, when you try to turn you have to be keen on adjustment. If its misaligned it will pop a little and you'll have to squeeze the puzzle to get it back together. Overall the turning is nice though, when you have it properly aligned its very smooth and easy to move.

I guess I'll add two or three centers in the puzzle, because those can break, but I'm not sure there's much of a risk As for the corners, they are held by a 1.2 triangular attachment to the puzzle, so they ar solid. Breaking pieces would be VERY hard, considering even after I tried to hollow it to 0.7mm some parts weren't hollowed due to their tiny size - Greg P.S: I'll wait until a video is published to offer the puzzle in the marketplace section

I’ve purchased a set of details, but couldn’t assemble it. 4 central elements broke while assembling I’m a bit upset. As I understand, nobody has received an operable model yet? I didn’t do such puzzle deliberately, was waiting for it from other gyus… But now I think I have to go further and make my own one.

I'm going to try reprinting one for myself, but the last time, Tony had a couple center pops so he told me to make smaller holes in the core and you told me to put replacement pieces in the set. And I'm almost sure Will's microminx works well (except for the missing corner...) Normally the holes are small so that you can make them bigger without print offset problems. If mine works i'll just send it to you, so that you didn't pay for nothing, but i'm still confident it works. - Greg
