A while back during the holidays we had a holiday package thread. Since most puzzles don't belong in the rare puzzles thread, this seemed like a good idea! Today I received my holiday package! (It's been a while.) I got a c4y 3x3x4 and a new square-1, and just finished stickering the SQ-1. I missed having a square-1 so much, that I scrambled it all up but don't remember how to solve it, I only remember how to get it back to the cube shape. Ahh... well... that's how it goes. Soon I should be getting another 3x3x4 (DIY) and I'll be making a lazyman's 3x3x5 from that.

I could have done with this thread a few weeks ago . I got a load of puzzles then but I won't be getting any puzzles for a while. I'll post here when I do get more (unless that would be a massive bump ). Alex

I was going to make this thread, just as soon as my speedcubeshop order came. Oh well, a few weeks ago I got a Meffert's order in: 3 Fisher Cube Package, Black Skewb Diamond and White Jing's Pyraminx. The order in the mail at the moment has a black and white LanLan 2x2x2, a Type AV, a TaiYan II, Mini Type C, QJ mini 4x4x4, and an mf8 Megaminx. Looking forward to that!
Just remembered though, today my friends gave me a Wacky Wolly cube. How fun!

Brain Twist parity just means you solved the first four sides in the wrong order. To fix it take and three adjacent solved sides, and switch two of them so they're going counter clockwise instead of clockwise, or vise versa. Look up a picture of the solved puzzle if you need the right order.

Thought this topic deserved a bump.
My first order from LighTake came today! In it were two Square-2s, a YJ and ShengShou 2x2x2, QJ Trajber's Octahedron, Greenhill's Octahedron and Dodecahedron, and a Super Square-1 Column! All are very cool!

Wow you guys. How much does it cost to buy so many puzzles at once?
I'm still waiting for my new 3x3x3 to come, and I can't afford anything new for a while...
Maybe I'll post a picture of my new cube when it gets here... It's a cool color. =D

Finally got my helicopter cube! I solved it up until the last 2 corners in about a half hour, even though I've never seen instruction whatsoever, but something that looks like a parity occurred where 2 corners were switched but in the correct permutation. Right after that though, I was having some fun and got the cube hopelessly jumbled, I'm now gonna have to take it apart and reassemble the puzzle *sigh*

Here is an eBay auction that sold for a very reasonable or low price. Vintage 1980 Rubik's Cube never opened with original price tag: $14.99 Chris

Not the rarest puzzle, but I got my Alexander's Star from mizzle576 today. It came scrambled, and I'm having a hard time figuring out the color scheme. Any help?

If you would like some help solving, I will be happy to assist (I got my two Alexander's Stars a couple of days and figured out the 6 colour pretty quickly - although parity on the 20 colour is driving me crazy! ). Once you get the first few pieces placed, it's pretty easy - just a logical progression (although the first two or three can be confusing and I required a little logic to place them). Alex

Got a Rex cube and a square-II in the mail yesterday VIDThe Rex cube is a really nice puzzle; the turning is really smooth (as expected with puzzles from this company) the plastic is great and in general, it's a great puzzle. The Square-2 is really nice. It's not as 'clicky' as my MF8 square-1, which in my mind is a good thing. Unfortunately, neither is very challenging to solve, though the Rex cube should keep me occupied for a while to optimize my current solution

Yesterday my Mozhi 1x2x2 arrived from Puzl. Quite happy with the puzzle and i've always wanted a 1x2x2. Interestingly its based of a keyring 3x3x3 as oppposed to the mini 2x2x2 I was expecting. For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, here's a quick size comparison with an Eastsheen 2x2x2 and a DaYan Guhong 3x3x3. Attachment:

I always expect to post here, but I got a fancy package from Meffert's that contained an Axis Cube in Black, a Hex Prism in Black, a Rhombohedron in white, and a Trajber's 4x4x4. Video here. Also, I got a nice little 2-sun 10-step kuroasa puzzle box that I ordered from my local shop. Again, a video is found at the site of this nice little hyperlink

Lucky for the person with whom I traded, I was feeling nice. I got my black teraminx yesterday, and it was unstickered. Having already stickered my white one, I now have to sticker another...Zen time

Thought I would post a puzzle that I just received in the mail! The puzzle is a 2x2x2 mod made by Josh B. The puzzle was a print from shapeways and I highly recommend it! I love this 48mm puzzle and it is currently available for about $32.00USD on Shapeways.
Hope you like it!

Although it arrived a few days ago, I wasn't able to post a picture until now, so here it is my free planets from Sigurd! I must say that the shipping was exceptionally fast, and nice surprise to find in my mailbox. The puzzle arrive scrambled as described and I find it extremely interesting, very nice puzzle. It wasn't hard to solve, but just playing around with it boggles your mind, and monopoly agrees, a very intriguing puzzle. I highly recommend this puzzle.

My favourite so far is the holey megaminx, it feels really nice, but i do have to look up how to make it turn better as it is a bit stiff. Biggest disappointment is the Flowerminx, some stickers are misaligned really badly and are going to fall off soon as they keep catching when i twist it, also the whole turning of the puzzle just doesn't feel very stable. Also, i only realised after I ordered...I am not a fan of jumbling puzzles. I got to play with a prism but didn't like it at all so I haven't really touched the Hex Prism at all, maybe it will grow on me!

The Hex Prism doesn't jumble. It shapeshifts. Today I got my white Meffert's Pyraminx from Sigurd! It's awesome; thanks man.
