Michael wrote: Congratulation Jaap !!! Coming soon a solution for the "Festivalnij Tsvetok" puzzle, that almost nobody owns !!!
Haha! But yes, it is definitely going to be on my site eventually. Well, it is if I can figure out how to solve it without taking it out of its packaging. Aleksey wrote: Mine is in exactly the same package, but the puzzle itself is slightly different. The one in the auction is somewhat fancier.
It seems there are 3 types. Round ones without any decoration, ones with big flower petals (as seen on the packaging in this auction), and ones in between with a small petal-like ring (the actual puzzle in the auction).

Goodness me. For some reason it would be hard to identify (because there probably isn't one), I never throw away solution leaflets with the rest of the puzzle packaging.
Now, at last, we know what to do with all these rare and collectable drawer-fillers, though I suppose they'd be even more desirable MIB.

The shipping comes out to be over $6.00. I bet the square 1 solution guides that I got with my $3 square-1 would bring in at least $2.00

Quite nice price... I have some others and I think I'm missing a few to complete the collection and last time I saw them on ebay they were much more expensive. I have three that combine to a large cheese+mice picture. I remember someone selling them from a large bag (must've been hundreds, but only 3 out of 4 of the collection) many moons ago for 30 Pfennige (about 10-15 cents) each.

Sean, I think we did not see Great Gears on auction in a long time. I'd seen it for a lower price before.

Mike G wrote: It gets a bit boring, but here's another example of UK eBay madness: they really couldn't live without that particular Master Magic...
I dunno... that price is a bargain compared to what I paid for my Master Magic 5-6 years ago. Even so, I found the investment to be ridiculously worth it, as I learned enough from comparing it with a standard magic to convince myself I could make my own mods and did so. After only 1 puzzle sale on eBay, I almost doubled my initial investment (purchase, including shipping, worked out to about $125US, while my first sale went for $203.50). Needless to say, I didn't stop at 1. Not bad, all things considered. L8r.

Indeed a rare find !
It would be interesting to know a little more about the hungarian Rubik`s Studio, some history about what puzzles they have made in the past,
i would like to see pictures of the inside of the campany, how they make the puzzles, past prototypes, etc. ...maybe one day ?
...You wonder why in this day & age, why they don`t have a website ?

I haven't played with mine for a while, but it didn't turn very easily. It came to me scambled and there is so much play in the tiles that they easily slid over the layers which will not allow you to turn the puzzle. I ended up removing the screw and the tiles and putting it back together to solve the puzzle. Very unique and rare, but it wasn't the best made puzzle from what I remember.

Nice find on the Taz. Shipping was probably more than what you paid for the whole lot Did you keep all those Taz items???

Shipping was $12. I'll probably contact the next highest bidder to see if they'd like to buy the other items, unless someone here is interested in them.

Dodd, I think it's the same puzzle. I can look it up tonight if you want. It's just the opposite views of the same puzzle.
Phil, I am jealous! Want to trade the TAZ head?

As you all probably know, I don't go for picture variations of the same puzzles or the many puzzle heads, unless they're really cheap. Nowadays it only rarely happens that a puzzle comes along that I would pay top dollar for. This is one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5978469273
The Hexadecimal Puzzle. This is the first puzzle Binary Arts ever produced. It is made of wood, and is a variation on the Spinout puzzle (or rather, it is 16 variations in one).

Wow, I wouldn't mind adding a Black Saturn with box to my collection. Incredible price too. The other Saturn went much higher than I expected.
Here is another from the same seller. A masterball that advertises the movie I.Q. I have never seen a puzzle before with the name of a movie studio on it, along with a movie title for $17.50
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5209077733&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEAFB%3AIT&rd=1
Also, I would recommend anyone who posts an auction link, especially in this post, to post the name of the puzzle and the final price. I have gone back and looked at several items in this category and if the info is not in the post then there is no info since the auction link is useless after a few months. Thanks

Blind man's 3x3 for $130:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5983396052
Is that an "official" Rubik one? The one in the TP database and in Ton's collection look the same but this one is quite different. I was also wondering a while why there's no orange anywhere, all the other colors are. Then I saw (thanks to the tiles) that there's black instead, apparently the seller solved that side and hid it
