I recently got a new 4x4x4 and changed my record from an embarrasing 3:13 to an awesome 1:54!

I just asked out the girl of my dreams and she said yes.
On a puzzle related accomplishment, I just got a PB on layer by layer method: 25.72.
I am happier about the first one.

PB Megaminx single: 1:57:00 minutes
I don't know how this solve happened. I managed to get two sides done by 44 seconds. From everything I had before, it should have been faster. With the solve that I had, I reckon a Megaminx world champion like David Gugl (KickFlip1993) could have done it in sub 40 seconds.

I solved a teraminx without ever having solved a puzzle above 3x3, though I did see a tutorial for a 4x4 once.

Finally solved the Rex Cube I got from Meffert's for the first time today, after being stumped for almost 2 weeks. Boy, this one is much trickier than I thought! All surface pieces are movable, which means that there's no frame of reference: if you get the wrong configuration of faces at the beginning, you'll end up with a parity at the end that pretty requires rescrambling to undo. I also haven't yet found an algo that moves face centers separately from the crescent pieces, which made it harder 'cos I have to either solve the "sliver" outside its target face and put it in last, or solve 3 crescent pieces then move the center+last crescent in afterwards.
I have to say, this simple-looking puzzle is truly a worthy challenge after a whole bunch of new puzzles I bought that I solved without too much effort. Kudos to Andrew for inventing this beauty!

PB Megaminx single: 1:46:98 minutes. The Megaminx was an mf8 brand Megaminx. I'm slowly improving on Megaminx. Now I have to see if my average has improved.

PB Megaminx average of 5: 2:09:54 minutes. Fastest time: 1:46:98 minutes Slowest time: 2:20:27 minutes Times: 1:46.98, 2:17.58, 2:05.13, 2:05.92, 2:20.27 I feel like I could have done it faster. Nevermind, at least I'm confident I'll be beating that in the near future.

I got my very first sub-20 solve just a few days ago. 19 seconds! Lucky, of course. I think I'll start seeing sub-30 averages very soon.

Yay! I got my Helicopter Cube yesterday and I solved it today WITH jumbling! And without any tutorials or anything. I feel clever.

At the UK Open 2010 I broke my personal best singles on the 5x5x5 and Megaminx. I don't know the times until they're up on the WCA, but I got my second sub 2 on Megaminx and my first sub 2 on 5x5x5! I also got a 4:35.xx with Megaminx One Handed, which was pretty good.

It's been a good few days. Finally starting to break 20 a little more consistently on a 3x3. I also started to try blind 2x2 solving and i found out it's not hard at all I went to Princeton '10 and broke my official best 3x3 solve by 4 seconds, my magic by 0.3 seconds, and competed in 4x4 and 5x5 for the first time. I'm happy!

Last night I got a PB 2x2x2 Blindfold solve. It was 15:xx seconds. I deleted it before I realised it was a personal best.

PB Megaminx average of five: 2:05:19 minutes.
Fastest time: 1:56:06 Slowest time: 2:34:50
Times: 1:56.06, 2:12.06, 2:02.69, 2:34.50, 2:00.81
Puzzle: mf8 II Megaminx
I'm happy with this average. I should have got another sub two in it however.

General improvement in general. Out of 30 3x3x3 solves, only two of them were above 16 seconds:

aww man, well its been a long time since I've posted here. About a month ago I decided I want to start going to cubing competitions. So i decided I needed to learn basic OLL and PLL. Well I finally memorized the basics about a week and a half ago, and I have dropped my average to about 35 seconds. My pb non lucky right now is 29 seconds. I think it's a good start. I still have a long way to go. Now to learn F2L

A few days ago i solved the cubic 4x4x5. I am not much of a solver, but I think it would be a challenging solve for anyone. in total, it took me about 3.5 hours, and the edge pairing for the outside 2x2x4 took about 2 hours in itself. If you can get one, I would recommend it!

Finally! A sub 10 solve! And not a pathetically easy solve like my 6:43 second solve! The time was 8:70 seconds! I was lucky, I had a PLL skip.
