Hi Twisty Puzzles fans, Jumblix is another exercise in jumbling. It looks like two Megaminx halves fused together after a 180 degrees turn. A bit of fudging was needed to make this design work. Jumblix is based on the geometry of a (face-turning) pentagonal bipyramid, which has angles that are just a bit different from the regular dodecahedral geometry of the Megaminx. I wonder whether anyone can build this puzzle as a shape mod by cutting up a Megaminx. Watch the YouTube video. Buy the puzzle from my Shapeways Shop. Read more at the Shapeways Forum. Check out the photos below. Enjoy! Oskar Attachment:

Normally I'm not a fan of jumbling because I like a puzzle to retain some form of symmetry, but I love this, it's cool. Alex

Fudging puzzles has such opportunity, and so far this is my favorite example of it! Great work, I hope to see even more fudging in your later designs

Another Oskar masterpiece! Every aspect of this puzzle is just great, and seems to use some of the best aspects of twisty puzzles: shape, number of pieces, symmertry, jumbling, fudging. It's all there. I am looking forward to seeing this at the DCD in 2 weeks time! (you are going, right Oskar?)
